Recommend a resort/destination misc. I wanna fly somewhere in December.

Border willing am still going to the Keys in March...

But want to go somewhere in December.


I have a place to stay in St. John, but any other recommendations?

Wife and I aren't big drinkers, but like doing cool chit, fishing, etc...



What's your fav place warm and sandy place misc? Hoping for something a bit cheaper...

Costa Rica is cool do the beaches and stay at one of the resorts in Arenal with natural hot springs. Funnels into a volcano and have all kinds of rivers, waterfalls and hotpools built into it at resort. Wife would love it I am sure. Can do beach and jungle adventuring.

I give you hotel Xcaret. Did ten days there a few years back.

Upscale, 5 star, all inclusive, including every park in the area including Xplor, Xenses, all the ruins, etc. The parks are fkin worth it. Xenses is a mind fuk. If you have a weak stomach you can puke just standing still on the street. Ziplines through waterfalls, miles of underwater cave swims.

5 star chefs at every restaurant, all you can eat all the time, free everything. The resort its self is a damn eco adventure. A river and canals run through the place and there are fish and chit swimming by the rooms.

11/10, would recommend. Food is 11/10.

Downside, about $800/night for two, but its only money brahs. Rooms are awesome. The parks are better than you could imagine. We even walked past the initiation lines for the zip lines and chit, because of the Hotel bracelet. Anywhere you go there, if you are wearing the xcaret bracelet, people just usher you through.

We drive to the Keys and like it, just wanted a quick week getaway to sit and rot, fish, etc.

Did Cambodia for a month a while back. A time for everything.

What didnt you like about costa rica? Just higher prices overall?

Costa Rica is extremely expensive. I think 10 years ago it was ok but for the past decade its been a rip off. The prices for Costa Rica are reasons alone that Honduras, Guatemala (which is also now getting expensive) and Nicuaraga are now very popular.

Why go to costa Rica when you can go to Thailand for half the price.

brb baked fish on the beach with drinks, $4.00
brb Scooter rental for a day $4.00...


For bang for your buck, nothing beats it over there. But to make it worthwhile, you need to go for a few weeks at least. A 22 hr plane ride isnt cheap, nor fun so you want to make the most of it.

Just didnt want to bit off anything that big for a week is all.

Resorts are for obese 55 yr olds and broke college students that are afraid of seeing the place they're at. Almost as bad as cruises, which are just Disneyland for fatties.
