Actually a good point. My first job was at McDonald's and one thing I will say is the food is pretty freshly made. 1. because it sells so fast especially during busy hours and 2. because they would set timers and throw it out if it had been sitting too long. I'd imagine it's improved since then as they assemble the burgers as they're ordered rather than make them ahead and just keep them warm.
