Look up WMAP, CMBR, and Hubble data.
And for evolution, look at any study of antibiotic resistance, all the phylogenetic analyses done on known species, the observation of evolution in finches, etc.
You're profoundly retarded.

I think perhaps Taoism, imo, makes the most conceptual sense...which is that there is some sort of intangible force or intelligence guiding and underlying everything. Hindus also have that same concept with Brahman. I'm sure there's probably others with the same concept in Shamanic traditions and other religions.

Is there no limit to what people will believe if it is prefaced by the phrase,
"Scientists say" ?

Why do you care what somebody else believes? You believe in nothing. You stand for nothing. You're just a hollow existence that is no benefit to anybody or anything.

I'm ok with just saying I have no idea why anything exists at all or why the laws of physics are as they are. I'd like to know, but I have no way of knowing.
I think the best reason to be religious would be for the ethical principles rather than the idea of god itself. It is hard to get through life without an ethical system, and I think that is one place religion brings a lot in. That's not to say you can't be ethical without religion. But religion already supplies you witg that ethical framework.
I'd call myself an atheist Buddhist or atheist Hindu I guess if that makes sense. I guess I'm not really Christian in my ethics since I don't think turning the other cheek is usually right.

Also, as far as the "unsatisfying" part...a lot of people want to know wtf the bigger picture is and what our part in it is. Is this our sole existence and it's lights out for eternity in the completely materialistic (and I mean metaphysical materialism) sense? Afterlife? Reincarnation? I think it's pretty difficult as a concious being to not wonder about these things and the long term implications.

Your existence is nothing but a test to separate those who are worthy from those who are not. As you will constantly see moving forward, we are completely incapable of eternal life with sin. Your life is simply a judgment that the vast majority will fail due to their own ignorance and hatred.

The point of that post was: for others who are interested in the topic, instead of reading mere debates of words on a bodybuilding forum (not how science is done), better to just research the actual evidence. Luckily, there is a ton in support of the the fact of evolution, from a variety of fields too. For those who donโt want to enroll in formal education, I recommend the book โWhy Evolution is Trueโ by biologist Jerry Coyne as a helpful introduction and overview.

You don't have to believe in God to find some value in what religions teach. And you don't have to take every lesson it tries to impart. But even today, religion still offers a pretty good guide on how to live our lives to be responsible members of a society.

I just my real honest answer is, I am still trying to find that out for myself.
I believe in the Gospel - Jesus lived and died for our sins and was resurrected on the third day.
I am just still trying to find out what that means for me and there are days I struggle, but its a never ending struggle.
That's my reason.

Sometimes I like watching videos of monkeys, apes, chimps, orangutans, gorillas, etc, they are fun, they relax me and I learn a lot from them. But I would be lying if I didn't say they remind me of humans and especially of certain humans but I still believe in God, the Bible, creation, Jesus, etc

It's really funny that the people who seem to look down on religious people the most, don't understand people very much.

The religious divide responsibility but a "house divided against itself cannot stand".
A strong person embraces responsibility because he can handle it.

My rules only apply to me. Everyone else does whatever they do and I respond accordingly. I socially advocate that others practice Christian, Hindu, or Buddhist ethics because they are the most passive and advantageous to me. Rules for thee and not for me.
And I suspect you all do the same. It's quite a cute joke.
So, no I am not a Christian and do not agree with Christian ethics. I have Wincel ethics. I look at what is practical and leads to the outcomes I want to see, as any rational lifeform should.
