It’s a very cool unique place. I’ve never been anywhere like it. Pittsburgh is at the crossroads of the Northeast, Midwest and Appalachia, so you see those three cultures merge into this interesting mix. I would never live there, but it’s a fun city to hang out in. Try a Primanti Brothers sandwich, catch a Pirates game and have some drinks in the strip district. Then go home.

I only went for two days for work, so idk about the rest of the city but Gaucho Parrilla Argentina is one of the best restaurants I've had anywhere in the US.

Used to go to club zoo at the strip district a lot when i was younger. wildest club ever. loved it. it was under 21 though. basically every fathers nightmare if you saw what those daughters did in there. 14-15 year olds.

Beautiful city. Walk the river walk to point park...go across Clemente bridge...catch a pirates game. If its zambelli firework nite that's an extra bonus. Fkn awesome display. Great restaurants etc. Hit up the Southside and bar crawl with cheap ass beers.

Pittsburgh as a whole is probably my favorite city that I’ve been to in the east coast.

Would also recommend getting some pierogis while you’re there. Like others have said Duquesne incline is cool and unique. Fun city to just walk around with the unique architecture and bridges. Would recommend a pirates game, one of the most aesthetic ballparks. Strip district is worth checking out. Everybody recommends the eat n park cookies.

I love Pittsburgh.

My wife has family there and wasn't expecting much before I went there. It's honestly one of my favorite metro areas now.

Too bad the The Original didn't survive the Wu Flu lockdowns.

I have fond memories of drunkenly stumbling down there for a chili dog and curly fries after fraternity parties back in the 80's. Even though it was essentially on Pitt's campus, it was a short walk from CMU too.

Just moved to PA this year, about 20 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. Love it. Lots of good eats and a metric fukton of bars (srs everyone here is alcoholic).
Casino is pretty good too, but the buffet at the casino is fuking amazing srs.


As for Primantis... I'm not as impressed by it as the locals I guess. Wings are small af and their sandwiches are dry with too much bread. Its not "bad" but its pretty standard chain tier food. Like chilis etc. Way better places to eat all over.

I do love how everywhere her puts French fries and all sandwiches etc.
