So we're basically back to how were sitting at the start of this year. With more optimistic economic news (inflation alarmists and trickle down adherents aside) and covid seemingly controlled.

Gut feeling is that Q4 is going to be 2017 like.

How do you get this when the above is talking about binanace not being allowed to operate in the UK and Japan?

From what I remember the Bitcoin crash in 2018 started when South Korea and China decided to ban Bitcoin

China banned Bitcoin multiple times. They banned it once in 2017 ( maybe more ) and caused a massive crash b4 the majestical face melting blow-off top.

To be clear, countries don't ban BTC. They ban their central banks from allowing fiat to be used to trade crytpocurrencies.

Binance wasn't always the top dog when it came to volume. I don't view the recent spate of countries banning Binance as necessarily a bad thing vis-a-vis adoption. I think it's a case of governments acknowledging that cryptos as they are currently being used are a threat to their well being. They would much rather have a homegrown entity be the main gateway for their citizens trading/using cryptos. Having a Chinese exchange dominate the space isn't in their best interest. They want more control.

If crypto wants to get beyond these bull to bear markets with an 85% retracements, then it needs to make projects appealing to normies, who have no desire to understand the underlying tech.

The internet and smartphones boomed without most people understanding the tech. Most social media stars don't even know the basics of HTML and CSS let alone other languages, but are posting and driving millions to social media sites.

Also, the more normies come in, the more the maximalists become the fringe. (They seem to be annoying a lot of people. Even Raoul Pal - who is trying to onboard boomers via his free crypto streaming interview site - has openly expressed how pissed off he is by Bitcoin Maximalists.)

This just feels like a slow grind downward. First couldnt get back up above $42k, now it struggles to reach even $38k.

I'm still holding out any buy orders until i see $20k-$25k

This. The internet, self-driving vehicles, etc all exist without people knowing how the fuk they work. No reason blockchain doesn't accomplish the same thing.

I disagree about online peeps (social media, pornstars, thots, onlyfans, etc.) being ignorant of the technology that drives their medium. From my experience most content creators (lol) are very well versed in the tech they use.

In addition, porn drives the technology it uses.

With the removal of the middleman between content creators (lol) and a unified industry, it's the content creators (lol) that will have the most influence on crypto adoption. A lot of them, yes there are a lot mindless whores taking advantage of the simp run, that know about blockchains, defi, etc.

The guy was talking about them not knowing what blockchain tech was, the equivalent would the content creators you are talking about knowing about how web servers work in order to make the social media sites accessible to the world, I would be that most of them don't.

Most content creators generally know a lot about camera gear, sound equipment, editing software, etc, but not the fundamental tech that runs the site. Just like most of the girls who will use Nafter won't know how blockchain tech works.

I agree that content creators will likely make blockchain tech go mainstream, because they will begin (like they are) using NFT and gaming platforms, and promoting them. Which is why I think it's bizarre that some men don't like the idea of e-girls and IG models using crypto projects.

def cant hurt to keep the orders that low. there are def powers that would like to see it that low it's clearly been a struggle though. and they have had what i would describe as a perfect storm that should have already gotten us that low.
personally i think the fundamentals continue to build and each day that we dont see that dip to 20k is a smaller chance that it will happen. those fundamentals slowly building a floor IMO. we just dont have the hype yet, and i think it's a beautiful thing. back during the last bull run it was the opposite where the hype ran wild. make a branding change and go full moon.

although dont get me wrong, if we had those conditions now...sheeit, life would get realllll fun...real quick, but whatever lol

*edit
i also think ETH is going to end up carrying some of the weight of this market as well after a while. it's upcoming changes are actually quite substantial. starting in july, and going through the beginning of 2022

might be quite the opposite. seems to be holding above 35k at the moment and looking like it wants to climb to the next resistance of 42k. opportunity for some trading at the very least.

I think it takes a break at 38-39K but it could retest the 42K level immediately I guess.

i think this was used by many as a coping mechanism. and i dont mean thatas a dig. it seemed to help for people to throw there hands in the air and declare crypto either dead or in a bear market so they could resign themselves to come back in a few years. that way they can attempt to stop worrying about it on a minute to minute basis. im thinking it was from many who havent been around for a full crypto cycle.

hopefully many bought back in otherwise life regrets will be expressed left and right on social media over the next year
