I only use gas grill on 4th of July to throw on hotdogs BUT they are used as freedom incense. Only use for the dogs is for aromatics. Nice smoking backyard making the neighborhood smell great at 8am today. The weber is about to get started... bratwurst and my roommate has a smoker for ribs. Florida crew.

Went through 24 hotdogs so far as 4th of July incense. Probably 7 bucks.

So nobody eats the hotdogs. They are for aromatic purposes only. Hope that makes sense.

I’ve got both

Gas is so much more convenient with better temp control, and can taste nearly as good when you use smoke boxes for low and slow cooking.
Generally only use the charcoal when we have friends/family around.

Got a natural gas line extended to my backyard, hooked up to my NG Weber. Makes is easy af to do quick cooks.

Also have a Traeger for when I have more time and looking to add more wood/smoke flavor into the foods and/or do a low and slow cook.

Looking to add a Kamado grill soon and maybe even a pizza oven.

Imagine even grilling in the first place. Just LOL if you’re not buying take-out to avoid having to cook/grill in the first place.

Wait, I need you to clarify.

Are these hot dogs being grilled for food reasons or purely for the smellz?
Beans. Cleans. Gasoline.

Charcoal or not, the only way to cook a steak properly is on a grill

Pan seared, sous vide, etc. just dont do justice to a quality piece of beef
