Maybe I just didn't know where to shop, but those weird looking briquettes where the only thing I could find when camping. I saw everyone cooking with those and not with hardwood charcoal on all the camp sites i've been too. Glad to hear that you can buy the real thing and not just that fake crap

This post categorically negates any claim you have ever made.

This post isn’t just a lie, it is a lie you give while you know that we know you know you are lying but you still give it anyway expecting us to be too well mannered.

Well, **** you. How is that for too well mannered?

You fugging liar.

I like my steaks medium rare which means they're on the heat for a very short period of time and there's no transfer of flavor.

Also from the very article you posted most gas grills these days have hardware that mimic the vaporization of the oils and actually do a better job than charcoal.

Steaks are the #1 thing that's way better cooked on charcoal. Not even a contest.

I have a propane grill right outside my kitchen which I use about twice a week. Just lol if every chicken breast you eat isn't grilled. Yeah I know that charcoal tastes better but with the amount that I use my grill propane just makes sense. I also have a smoker which is what I use when I want some meat with the real flavors.

I use both. Gas is more convenient if I want to fire up the grill and just throw a steak or two on it. Charcoal is more of a I'm going to spend 2-4 hours fixing meats and grilling them type of thing.

I think when I'm done with my patio I'm going to have my dad build a grill designed for log/wood and also maybe build a pizza oven for baking out-doors. I plan on a covered back patio/outdoor kitchen about 18' by 18'. By the time I'm done (Sink + stove burners added to counter area) I probably won't cook indoors anymore.

I grill about 4 days per week as is so variety is good.
