Social media, illusion of endless options, society pushing the feminist/single/independent woman, men being full of soy, people realizing they hate each other and how easy it is to get a divorce, growing apart, lack of pair bonding ability, partner turning into a fat tub of chit, insecure, rushed...the list goes on.

Now a days, most women, even the most hideous, can get laid anytime/anywhere. Unfortunately cheating happens here too.

But to your point, I bet the Coolidge effect plays a role in it too. Most of my older married acquaintances hate their lives and sex is a chore.
