age 34 (feelsbadman), do I prioritize money or dating?

option 1: live rent free on a piece of property in a low cost of living state while working a high paying job 1 hr away from a big city.
Pro: make and save a lot of money. save anywhere from $10k-$30k/yr as compared with option 2. More purchasing power due to lower cost of living.
con: hard to date since 1hr away from civilization.

Option 2: Move to Vegas (the only reasonably priced city in America right now).
Pro: better dating potential.
Con: rent, utilities, and lower purchasing power.


Misc I get it, tour is over for me at this age. But I don't want to die alone and be broke.

I'm in a similar situation to you at age 36, but the only difference is that I already have financial freedom and could likely retire if I wanted within a year or two.

You definitely need to have a certain base level of wealth by mid 30s, but at the same time not every girl actually gives a fuk. There are plenty of girls with their own money nowadays. At age 34, I don't think you really want to waste additional years of your life being a hermit and not chasing pussy, as the dating game seems to change dramatically once you hit late 30s and beyond.

If hermit life appeals to you, go for it. But I've been doing it for the last 5-6 years(with lots of traveling to keep me sane) and it allowed me to save a ton of money. But I honestly kinda regret not moving to a bigger city in the last couple years once I was comfortable financially. There's simply a lot of things I'm missing out on, and the value of having money becomes less as you get older. I would have been much happier with my current wealth at age 28 than I am now at 36. I'm very free and can do basically whatever I want whenever I want, but I'm not over the top happy with life.

I agree that you never want to "prioritize" chicks, but things are so dramatically different with girls when living in a city versus in some small town. In a city, you never have to prioritize girls because there are always tons of opportunities and often you'll get hit on daily by interested girls. In a small town, there's none of this so it's really hard to develop an "abundance" mentality.

So although one of the reasons to move to a city would be for girls, it actually keeps pussy from dominating your thoughts as much because it's not as much of a challenge. And you won't act as clingy or needy with the good ones you come across, which makes them end up doing the chasing instead of you.

Yep, agreed. At the very least, you want to make connections with a lot of girls before 40 so you can kind of make a move on one at a later date. But if you're meeting a girl for the first time after 40, chances are it's not going to be what you're looking for.

for the passed 10 years I have always lived 1hr away from good dating areas. It has been the sole reason I don't have a GF. If you have never experienced that hurdle then you really just don't know.

Since you live rent free, let her move in and charge her "half" of the rent. Use that money to take her on vacation once a month. She'll worship the ground you walk on and so will her friends - would be a good way to opening the relationship and bringing her friends over to bang. You'll live like a king.

You need to find a happy medium. In my opinion you need to be primarily focused on yourself and setting your own life up for your future.
I think option one is a much less stress way to live. Plus you don't necessarily have to live an hour away from every eligible female. Even a city of just 50K people should have plenty of single women around.
