This practically never happens. My brother is a neurosurgeon and he eats crap fast food and gets no gifts and works 16 hrs a day. The pharma people are more likely to be in bed with the FDA or with politicians and regulatory board folks than your doctor. It's not like Doctor Joe Podunk or Professor Pointdexter at Medical University are getting wined and dined by big pharma.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Office next door to mine has reps coming in 3-5x per week. And a surgeon isn't going to be writing prescriptions as a general practitioner will... critical thinking not even once.

Still across the entire population, the vax is safer than the virus. Statistical fact, not up for debate.

Do you think all the medical literature on the drugs is fabricated? The reps might be coming by to advertise new drugs or solicit clinical trials. I also doubt your honesty here.

It's possible you just have chitty doctors.

Fair enough. I know other doctors too though. They also have strict conditions on this kind of thing. You can lose your license to practice medicine if there is any impropriety.

Chit like this does happen though.

I interviewed for a pharma sales job a while back. They have a way of tracking who is writing more prescriptions and commission structure is based off that tracking. Docs may or may not get kickbacks "like they do for flu shots).

Well this seems like a reason to support more regulation and healthcare reform, wouldn't you agree?

Flu shots are objectively a pretty good idea, whether the companies are grifting or not.

Wait what? Fringe?

Why?

It's the least fringe form of medicine. All the other forms of medicine, such as Chinese medicine, homeopathy, Ayurveda, Chiropracty, etc are pseudoscience and should be banned, and their peddlers should be arrested as con artists and possibly executed for being enemies of truth and reason srs.

Medical error is the 3rd leading cause of death. That should tell you something. Unless you don't believe in science.

Don't entertain Wincel. He has no idea what he's talking about 95% of the time. He doesn't understand that there are trade offs to government interference, most of them worse than what was trying to be fixed. Regulation of medicine is a perfect example. Healthcare costs are at an all time high due to inefficiencies that are created through regulation. Healthcare costs aren't directly the result of "greedy doctors" or even pharms. It's the result of everyone trying to exploit the rules of the game, so to speak. Example, doctors lose out on a tremendous amount of money from medicare and medicaid, so they gouge in other places to make up for it. The costs associated are from all of the admin they have to pay to do the paperwork and jumping through hoops. 50% of the 25% increase in healthcare employment was in admin to deal with the paperwork etc of government interference

I could give examples all day long, but suggest you pick up a book and read about economics by legit economists that aren't in it for the glory or money. This is why you don't normally hear about the best economists.
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.

not sure where you are getting your data from but, either way I agree, I wouldn't give it to my kid, I was just responding to the guy who said "who cares" about a kid dying

"More than 324 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through June 28, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 5,718 reports of death (0.0018%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine"

How do you know?

1. Covid 19 has been around longer then the vaccine.
2. We have no idea what the long term affects of the vaccine will be.
3. We know there are side effects to drugs/medications. Every time you see an advertisement on TV they list a bunch of serious side effects as a possibility. We don't know what Covid vaccines side effects will be.
4. We know that many products in the past that were considered OK for use/consumption caused cancer and many other health issues. Look at all the class action lawsuit advertisements for people that used X product and got X illness. Etc.
5. The medical industry & scientific community have been wrong plenty of times. Tobacco industry paid them off to recommend smoking/claim it was healthy. The sugar industry paid them off on research about its negative effects. The farming industry paid them off for the effects of grains in our diet. Etc. Look at the standard American diet and the food pyramid we've all been taught since we were kids.

The scientific & medical community has been compromised for a very long time. If they truly gave a fukk about anyone's health, they'd be speaking out against sugary/grain based breakfast cereals. All of the seed oils used in our foods/to cook our foods. The preservatives and other ingredients in our processed foods, etc. Obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc. are the real pandemic.

It's been speculated that only 10% of the cases reported to VAERS were actually published. Even if that can't be proven easily it should be enough to give reasonable human beings pause before trying an experimental gene therapy drug.
