Even Bitstamp had a 50 btc volume washing bot engaged during the end of 2017.

I in no way shape or form meant to insinuate BNB was big from debit cards. I only mentioned Swipe because that was around the time I noticed Binance rolling out a bunch of features that weren't around in 2017. Which is to say they aren't some simple exchange like kucoin or poloniex, but rather created an entire eco system of products and services (like crypto.com is doing now). people wonder if an investment like the ufc partnership is worth it. i actually think it's a no brainer. esp when lookning at what CDC is trying to do. the goal is to be top of mind as crypto explodes over the years. there will be many first timers who will want to buy bitcoin and traditionally they go to coinbase first. if a higher percentage of those entrants go to CDC then those marketing dollars pay off long term, no doubt. now i just have to learn more about this ecosystem

Binance has also been a fully functional exchange since i bought my first btc however many years ago. Crypto.com was "Monaco (MCO)" during the 2016 craze. Rebranded with the goal of being a globally legit exchange.

I'm not saying any of your binance volume numbers or product offerings are wrong. What i'm saying is if I have the choice to choose between the Chinese ran exchange that releases products and thinks of regulation punishments later vs the more globally compliant exchange striving for the same products but releasing them slower because they're following the letter of the law in every country (and gaining mainstream partnerships/exposure)... then i'm going to go with the latter.

For the record I love binance. I rode the BNB wave up for a little bit, and I was constantly preaching in this thread that BSC platforms were better than ETH platforms due to the vast savings in moving money around.

All of my thoughts exactly. I'm not saying it's a for sure thing, or that they're better than binance. I just speculatively have a lot of optimism about where they'll be in 6 to 12 months time.

twas a typo, I meant 15%. When BTC drops 3% or so overnight, I see alts typically dip between 8 and 12%. the 15% would catch any cliff dive situation.

Dip has a good chance to keep dipping. Stocks need to take a beating after this retarded low volume run its had since May 12th. Most stuff is up around 15-50% since then. Today was like a 2-4% pullback and 1% SPY pullback. It should probably go at least 3-5% and its gonna take BTC with it.

im in in to see it. we have had so many calling for 24k btc for quite a while now. have seen all the fud that we can possibly think of. now we have some macro-economic stuff. so if they can combine some fud with the macro picture, lets see if they can force some downward pressure. if they finally are able to do it, it will get bought up so fcking hard. so many have been holding on the sidelines for mid 20s for so long, relatively (lol 6 weeks or so)

yeah it wont moon it, but i like the strategy. those mofos will be top of mind as crypto grows over the years. as long as all the new entrants download the app when they finally decide they want to buy some btc for the first time, then CDC wins. locking down the next 10 years seems like a phenomenal bet when you think about where the crypto industry could be over the next decade. esp with how inflation is going to run wild in damn near every country in the world. not to mention all of the countless other macroeconomic concerns in play. looking at the trajectory of it all, including their own ambitions, i think it's a mighty fine bet.

In the high growth/tech sectors its generally always better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

Look at the history of the biggest companies today outside of crypto, google, ********, microsoft etc. These guys have pulled so much dodgy chit. It could even be argued thats the reason they were able to grow so fast and kill the competition.

The binance exchange only launched in 2017 - and yet they overtook coinbase, bittrex, kraken, gemini, bifinex. Coinbase launched in 2012, a fking 5 year head start!
