How varied are your music choices?

Do you listen to a bit of everything or just one or 2 genres?

I'm in the former, my playlist is primarily underground rap and death metal, metalcore whatever but I have country, electronic, dubstep, classic rock, ska, punk, jazz, blues, jazzhop, instrumentals etc etc.

Depends. Do you consider 80’s music it’s own genre? Or would you consider 80’s rock, 80’s pop, etc… all separate genres? That’s not all I listen to, but it’s a lot of it
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, nonsubjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

Yeah I'll happily listen to most music, exceptions being death metal, punk noise, polka yodeling music or anything with a piano accordian.

Not a big fan of emo music either, whatever genre

probably the most out of anyone I know. Spotify had be on like 300 genres or something on spotify wrapped. idk how it's possible but yeah.

I think it's easy to find good music in any genre if you enjoy music.

Listen to absolutely everything, I am obsessed with music.

Lots of modern stuff, some classics, even some ancient stuff.

Lots of experimental music, independent stuff, and really popular stuff.

These days I'm really into liquid dnb, German techno, and dub techno for work, and off work I've been listening to Carpathian and Tatar folk music.

Right now listening to Fairport Convention which is just some classic British rock.

Here is a song from my younger days that I heard some gangsters playing in the neighborhood very recently.

Had a flashback, love this song. It's so hype.

Gangsters unironically have excellent taste in music.

Eventually you listen to so much music that normal music starts to blend together.

You end up listening to really weird stuff like James Ferraro, which is very interesting and experimental, but it is also very unusual.

This kind of music just satisfies the part of your brain that seeks new experiences.

A lot of this stuff lays the foundation of future music, it finds new territory for popular music to build on.

Some of it becomes really popular and establishes a new major genre, like this sort of rock did back in the day.

Then there is the whole world of traditional music, and recently I have been listening to a lot of Eastern European and Central Asian traditional music.

This stuff is very unknown in the eyes of the world, especially when compared to other regions, but it is very beautiful music.

I think it gives the feeling of weight. Like the feeling of carrying a very heavy weight or making a heavy decision.

So that is my long rant about music.

These days I still listen to many genres, but I am very recently on a kick of listening to heavy sounding music.

During work, I just listen to simpler sounding electronic music because it helps me to be productive.

Many many hours of good electronic music here, and it is constantly updated.

I feel like there's a lot of made up ones that are basically all the same with very MINOR differences/chords that the artists try to exploit to make themselves stand out in searches

I listen to lots of different genres. 80's rock and pop, hard rock/heavy metal, disco/70's dance, 80's/early 90's rap/dance, easy listening, classical, some current pop. Can't stand country, death/speed metal or gangster rap.

There is a lot of good music that you can't find on Spotify.

There is good music of course, but the stuff that gets on there is paid for and has to fit that mold.

The artist or license holder must pay a fee and the admins have to approve it.

I doubt that you could make better music with a guitar or with just a microphone.

You don't have to like all the music, but you are not superior just because you can't appreciate it.

You have also confused your outdated racial slurs with other races, but I would not reason that matters to you.

Just listen to what you enjoy, I enjoy the same music, no one is forcing you to listen to music you don't like.

I would much rather listen to hip hop than listen to you complain about music.

I go by vibe more than anything. If we are putting labels on things, I guess I skew to classic rock but also like Motown and 80s-early 90s R&B. So, if you're considering *good* music as one category, then yes mine is very narrow. But if you're talking about genres, it's pretty wide.
