I was completely on the side of not getting it for a long time. However that decision came to us as well. Not willing to potentially lose our jobs and what not, rather turn into a zombie(lol)

It's interesting to see how many people I know that are basically given an ultimatum. Get vaccinated or lose their jobs.

Yet, I work at a medical facility, my sister works at another. Neither are requiring vaccinations. I'd assume there's some sort of liability without an FDA approval? Not sure.

My wife is a nurse, a travel nurse at the moment. None of the facilities she's worked at have required it, but we just left Maine, and the hospital she was traveling at required it for any new travel assignments going forward. We are home now and her next assignment is a local one, thankfully they haven't required it, she signed the contract already so she's at least good until the end of this year. I'm thinking its only a matter of time before all medical facilities mandate it.

The more people that get vaccinated, the number of people who aren't getting it gets smaller. They're doing their best to get people angry at unvaccinated people. Once they reach 80% of adults, the other 20% of us are going to have our lives made very difficult.

That's wild brahs, don't think I've heard any stories in person yet about being forced to either vaccinate or be canned

We're pushing for vaccination at our current work site but only so we can ditch the plastic barriers / extensive cleaning / masking, definitely not as a condition of employment

I feel ya on that, bro. I am NEVER going to take that damned "vaccine." The amount of damage it's causing already should warrant its stoppage, let alone all the chit it'll do once the boosters come into play later this year. Fuk that and fuk anyone requiring it for work. 99.9% survival if you're under 80.

Pulled the trigger. Moved about 25% of my total portfolio into a cash position. Roughly about 5 years of living expenses. Most of it in a Roth that I can take out penalty free if I absolutely need it. My heart was beating fast when I hit those submit buttons, but I feel calm now, feels like it was right for my unique scenario. If my wife and I end up jobless because of Covid vaccine refusal, those cash positions will be the pillow that helps us sleep at night until we figure out a way to make money going forward.

Once the threat is gone and I feel confident that'll we'll be able to maintain our current employment situations, it's all going back in. I'm thinking i'll leave that 25% in the cash position until one year from today, and re-evaluate then, if i'm not forced to re-evaluate sooner.

I was going to move my whole portfolio to cash, but I didn't have the heart. A 5 year cushion is enough to help me sleep well through the uncertainty.

^myron 20 years of expenses saved up. But you are kinda a silly goose if you think covid is 99% survival rate but magically you are susceptible to a vaccine.

Regardless I disagree with employers being allowed to fire you for not being vaccinated. At the same time I’d be mad AF if I got covid from a nurse or if my child got covid from a daycare worker.

Why would you risk so much on chinese ev company.

China stocks not even once.

Tesla could have bought shares and some leaps.

^^ So a 650 call on Tesla with a 215 price means you make money if the price is above $865 by the expiry date? An $833billion valuation?

this is what i was thinking and the chance of the market crashing.......... the market has been averaging 15% returns for the last 3 years, no way it can continue at this pace in my opinion

I’m unsure of what would propel Tesla back up to that level as well. I spend far too much time on TeslaMotorsclub and other EV sites/forums as part of my research into oil & gas headwinds, and I’m guessing sebackers is strategically making this move with FSD v9 beta being released to the select group at midnight California time.

But a lot of Tesla owners are irate af over the lack of FSD progress and there’s talk on the forums of class action lawsuits from people who paid for FSD years ago with no progress to speak of. Maybe that makes it the right time to buy if we’re looking to capitalize on fear, but I think FSD success is already priced in and there’s mostly downside potential. The fuk do I know though, I wouldn’t short Tesla so

Are you gonna be willing to write Tesla calls against your LEAPs? Imo you could make big $$$ doing so. Especially when IV is high just write some $800 calls and cash 'em in

^@Destor I'm sure the language in the purchase agreement says something about "the person is granted permission to use FSD when it is available and no sooner. Buying the right does not imply any time estimates and it may never come to fruition".

Definitely, the lawsuits would surely go nowhere but it’s indicative of the community’s state of mind right now. Again maybe that’s signalling a good time to buy, but I dunno

FSD v9 beta was supposed to be publicly available last month and that didn’t happen. Now it’s being released tonight but only to the small select group of testers, mostly Tesla employees iirc. If the videos posted by other testers aren’t absolutely mind blowing, people are likely gonna lose their chit.

My logic is China doesn't like to lose, and the EV is industry a war right now and will really make a big difference in the future / long run, China is definitely backing NIO and just think about how much money China has than you factor in the USA is a powerhouse but yet China is what like 5x bigger, and we along with many other countries are in a major debt with them, and they don't have the same labor laws as we do, so I'm sure they're going to keep killing it. It's made me a good amount of money so far, so I decided to put a bit more into it.

People have been saying this for yearssss and while I'm sure it'll happen someday, if a company can survive a Chip Shortage, and several major and small countries having to completely shut down their economies/several businesses, yet the EV business is still killing it and setting record after record, It's going to take something MASSIVE for it to take this ship down, and lets just hope it's either really soon, so I have time to record or it happens after 2023, KEK.

Honestly, I don't really understand what you're saying it sounds like covered calls or something that I've heard others mention? Teach me the ways because maybe I'm definitely missing out on something big here, and I'll definitely entertain it. I just planned on riding this out and hoping both these stocks obviously go up 60%+ over the next two years.

I just want to hit the $2 million mark and retire off passive income dividend stocks like qyld/ryld/qylg or schd. 28 years old and just want to escape this rat race ASAP.

It is pretty straightforward. Wait till close to an event happening (think quarterly earnings, or Tesla day when Elon is dropping some new shyt) and sell higher strike calls that hit in like a month or two. So sell $800 strike and basically wait till it expires worthless
