Meth was an essential part of being a nazi. How do you think they pulled off the blitz? How do you think Hitler always had so much energy at his rallies?

Always kind of wondered if his drug use is what brought on his Parkinson's or if it was always there and the meth just speed up the symptoms.

The stuff is too strong to make good decisions with, I think.

I think sobriety is not the real problem.

Family values are the only way for people to lead sensibly, not abusing drugs, domination, etc.

He lost this chance from the start with his family upbringing and never straightened out to stop him from perverted interests.

Interesting timing for this thread because last Thursday I watched an entire documentary on it. Its true. The documentary concluded that meth helped them win early parts of the war but was also part of their downfall after that. When they did the quick massive strikes on meth they could simply overwhelm the target and take victory before the downside of the meth took hold. But once the war went on and they were engaged in much longer, much more strategic battles having a bunch of meth'd up soldiers lacking sleep wasn't a positive thing. The meth'd up soldiers also didn't have much of an appetite. In the short term that was great but longer term you just ended up with a bunch of undernourished dudes with sucked in cheek bones.

It seems like a good crutch. Fighter pilots carry things to keep them awake if they need them, for example. I always wonder if mountain climbers do not bring an emergency stash. A tweaked out attempt at descent seems better than the 30% of cases where they die on the climb.
