I think the main reason we get involved in so many wars is just to practice. China wouldn't stand a chance in conventional warfare, but they could do some srs damage, no doubt.

Conventional warfare is probably a past time though. Wouldn't be surprised if they're doing a lot of the cyber attacks. They're already beating us to a pulp on several fronts. A lot of Americans still don't realize it.

That is definitely true. If you think about real world skirmishes that the US military has experience with versus China, the US is definitely much stronger per capita due to tactical experience

and not just cyber warfare either, but trade warfare. China is vehemently opposed to free trade and uses trade agreements (putting tariffs on Australian imports after Australia banned Huawei products, for example) to punish other countries in a way that most people are oblivious to. They can inflict serious damage on a nation without the general public even realizing what is going on. Don't even get me started on what they're doing in Africa and South America, either (srs)

You can tell just from the military spending data that they are clearly up to something... wonder what

I read a little bit on what they've been up to. They've been doing a ton of war exercises, that I know for sure for quite some time. Just flexing maybe? Being more prepared like we do?

I also know they subsidize a lot of industries, same as we do, but they do it on things like steel, just to undercut us. I've heard they ship it through Mexico to avoid tariffs. They even rip off companies with patent stamps on really important bits of steel used on cranes and such. Steel parts fail all the time leading to some pretty bad construction accidents. Obviously each accident is investigated, then the vendors would let us know what to look out for.

This is true. I had a professor who was a Boeing Cybersecurity Admin and he went into detail about how they would constantly get actors on their network trying to steal classified data

How can they possible be ahead of us, they are a culture of copying things and not making them better, just cheaper, they are taking over Africa but still can’t create their own buildings that don’t fall apart, just copy what someone else did but with inferior materials.

China is far less ethical than anywhere else, they will cut down the last tree if it meant $5 in their pocket or .0000000001% more gdp growth. They are cutting fins off millions of sharks for what, is that what someone superior does?

I’ve been keeping up with it. But I haven’t heard of anything new. I don’t think China will go to war with Taiwan. The rest of the world wouldn’t allow it. And if China does decide to then that will probably be a huge mistake.

It's because it's a Chinese government funded program, basically.

Imagine if US corporations shared their classified data amongst each other. That's what the Chinese govt does. They steal American business data and feed it to Chinese corporations that they subsidize, fund and are involved with.

Take a highly innovative company in the US, say Lockheed Martin or in a real world case Honeywell. Neither of those companies are going to share any of that data willingly, but if the Chinese get a hold of it, they can disperse it to multiple companies, group think and come up with something even better. In this case, Honeywell actually sold data to the Chinese. If they can't steal it, they will buy it, even if it's illegal for an American company to sell it. Because ethics don't exist there.

It's no different than cheating on a tough math based test in college. If I could see everyone's answers or how they got to an answer, I could ace the test pretty easily.
