Jesus Christ... That is a retarded high starting salary straight outta college. Seems like a great career path if you're not sure what you wanna do and can handle the stress. The only guy I know who is an air traffic controller got his training in the military and doesn't make anywhere close to that. I do live in a very poor state though and I'm not sure if he does the exact same thing OP is talking about

If they hadn't turned them off, then controllers would have immediately seen them randomly deviate and reached out to them asking wtf are you doing. It's why Malaysia 370 flight was hard to find cause they also turned it off if I remember right

He probably works a very low level tower that only has 13 controllers around. If he worked in a bigger tower (takes time to get there), Tracon (takes time to get there), or enroute (start right away) you make alot more $$ right off the bat

Everyone knows that many young men in less than stellar neighborhoods would rather sell drugs and commit crime than work at a McDonald's. I finished highschool at 15, it wasn't a top highschool, it was in Newark NJ so it was a pretty bad school, which is what allowed me to stand out, because almost every other person there was not there to learn. I moved out of my parents house at 16 because my mother is a Jesus freak, not because she made me pray, and paid $600 for a room, not an apartment. I joined the military at 17. I'm 6'1.5" barefoot and weigh 285lbs If you want to be exact.

Unlike you, I don't need to lie, which is why when I talk about myself the facts are exactly the same. You're right about one thing, I don't have any people I would consider friends, but I have family and a ton of acquaintances. At the end of the day you can't compete with me, and that's sad because both of my parents are third world country peasants, and I was born in that same third world shythole they grew up in.

They did communicate, got no repsonce. Protocol is to then send out Jets, no jets available. Then finally jets become avaiable and they are sent off the coast of MD. LMAO. Ask you FAA higher ups what they think about the situation after some beers.

My advice would be to fill out your resume on that sites resume builder, and to do a search of 2152 on those days and the "Off The Street" bid should be available.

Unfortunetly no, you have be under under the age of 31 at the time you apply. But for those curious, yes you get paid a salary amount (it's like 28-29k a year) in addition to per diem that pays for your housing and food. In the end you can pocket a good amount of $$ based on your per diem. Don't remember exactly how much, but I think it was like $100-110 a day?

I'll use this thread as an aviation thread as well until this bid is over with. If people aren't aware, there is Oshkosh air show in Wisconsin going on this weekend. SOOOOOO many planes going into this Airport from basically all around the country, they fly into this one airport and basically tent up and watch an airshow that last an entire weekend. Doesn't matter what sector you're working in ATC you will see flights of 6 aircraft all as one data block flying across the nation going to this airport

Saw a random call sign today that looked sort of like "Air Force" today but didn't look quite right, turned out it was a Qatar jet flying from the a potential skiing destination into Oshkosh. I'm gonna guess it was some Saudi Prince who just got done skiing and decided to make a trip over there lol
