lol I didn't rate him at all but just saying, it's not all doom and gloom for a player that young.

besides Olympics, not really. Even US soccer fans are just happy to be around Europeans or Latin fans, since most Americans don't care.

REALITY SETS IN ...........We’ve been a disgrace this half tbh, no attempt to even try and play football. Just strolling around inviting pressure....

AND THEN................I dunno, first half we did a professional job and frustrated them, just let them play it around in front of our defence. This half we’ve been a disgrace, we’re not even closing players down, it’s a fuking final ffs and they’re strolling about..............

IT STARTS TO FALL APART............Yep, this is absurd. Both would tear Italy apart..............

LOL ..............I literally want to smash his fuking face in........THE TEARS ARE WELLING UP NOW............Southgate was a ****ing clown letting him take a penalty, absolute fuking suicide everyone knew he was gonna miss........

DESPAIR TURNS TO RAGE........Your senior players take penalties, not a bunch of fuking 12yr olds fresh off the bench .......

AND NOW ACCEPTANCE .....Southgate 100% cost us that penalty shootout...........

NOW WE SEE THE TRUTH ......Yep we did deserve to lose Italy we’re by far the better team ..

MORE TEARS FLOW .......I hope Southgate cries himself to sleep tonight. Way to lose us two tournaments you big nosed kunt.......

LAUGHABLY SAD.......You are aware the whole it’s coming home thing is actually us being ironic and just to wind people up?

There's a general expectation that people should score penalties. But nowadays, goalkeepers actually do tons of research, and have people who tell them exact stats of which people shoot where etc. Factor in bigger, better, faster goalkeepers, and the increasingly insane pressures of matches being televised to tens of millions of people, and a whole nation's hope on your shoulders, I can see it getting harder and harder to score the spot kicks.

A goalkeeper can't save a perfect penalty kick, but if they jump to the correct side, there's a good chance they save a sub-perfect kick. Especially a fantastic keeper standing at 6'6 – and as the commentator mentioned during the game – with the wing span of a boeing 747

At least it’s better than the usual disappointments like getting knocked out by Iceland, I do feel we can hold our own against anyone right now, a lot of the other top teams are going to have to re build their squads as ageing players retire, whereas England have such a young, talented squad.

United have to win something next year, if we pull off Varane and Camavinga in addition to Sancho and keeping Pogba, I’ll be very optimistic.

I still have hopes for Martial. Rashford is having shoulder surgery at the end of this month so he’s going to be out until October. Watch Sancho play LW, beast it and leave us with the unbalanced RW issue. Oh well Greenwood will have to stay there for now.

Ha, I like Martial on the left more than Greenwood on the right. I'm glad Rashford is finally treating his injuries.
