Advice; Little Bro and I want to start a pressure washing business
Brand fukking new to small business especially entrepreneurialship. Bro is gonna be the owner and financier, while i will run it. He currently works for a different restaurant company who is bringing a chicken chain to MS and is responsible for opening them all up. The ENTIRE friggin state. Anyway....we need some ideas on services to offer other than power/pressure washing. Will probably also do lawn services as well as window washing and the company he works for will be our primary commercial customer but residential will be our focus as well.
Any other ideas, tips, info etc on small business start ups in general will be helpful as well. Will rep. Thanks bros

Get into realtors offices. Make them some sort of brochure (doesn’t have to be fancy) to leave with all of the realtors in the office. Bring a box of chocolates for the receptionist. Offer some sort of discount. 10%. Use us 5 times get the 6th for 25% off. Something.
Offer gutter and window cleaning. All easy and low overhead.
I advertise my business on google and Yelp (garbage). Don’t use Yelp.
Make an Instagram/******** for your business. Lots of before and afters.
I’ve only owned my company for a few months, but I’ve been in my industry since 2008.
Also, stick firm to your prices. You give someone a discount once, you will always give them a discount. Their friends and neighbors too.
Do a better job than you would on your own property. If you do that, the price won’t matter. At least 75% of your customers should be repeats.

Window washing, landscaping, and pressure cleaning...?
TBH sounds like way too much for 2 people. Landscaping is a full time gig, often requiring more than 2 people, once you get your name out there and have good results.
I would pick one business and get really good at it - otherwise you're just a general labor handyman service that people will bitch at because your prices aren't low enough.

You could do it.
Although for commercial you will probably be working nights.
Eventually get a big water tank on a trailer to make you more productive. I would even offer the service for boats and rvs in storage.
Advertise on Craigslist, only $5 a post
Obviously spam it in different categories.
Start cheap to get the ball rolling then raise the prices when you’re busy.

Don’t let the pressure get to ya, 99% of small businesses fail.
Make sure you have a sustainable business plan and great marketing. Offer groupons and special introductory pricing to get your name out there. Once you are well-reviewed, you can start charging incrementally more. A few bad reviews can break you though so you should make sure you get everything sorted out before going residential.

Also the dumping thing won’t work too well since a crackhead with a truck will do it cheaper and probably dump the garbage on the side of the road to avoid dump fees.
It was my business idea before. Instead I rent my dump trailer out
Drop off dump trailer
Let the customer load themselves
Pickup in 2-3 days
Charge a flat fee
Local only
Edit: the dump trailer is hydraulic tilt and requires no labor from you

Something I think is important to keep in mind: when someone calls you to re-clean something… just do it. Doesn’t matter if it’s legitimate or not. That’s part of being a premium service and having return customers.
If they’re getting outrageous with it and repeatedly calling you back and/or doing it a few months after cleaning you have to tell them to kick rocks at that point, or charge them to come back.

Residential house/siding cleaning. I live in the woods and had green stuff starting to grow on my siding. Hired a company to come in and wash/scrub the siding on my whole house.
If you expect this thing to take off and aren't worried about funding social security and don't have high wages or self employment earnings from other sources, create your business as an S-Corp. Keep owner wages low. Earnings in excess of your wages aren't taxable for social security / Medicare (self-employment tax). Your CPA should be able to explain to you in more detail and be specific to your own situations.

Mobile snoball stand. Or even a fixed one. Your area probably doesn't have that many. We have one here in Hattiesburg and there are literally two other really popular ones within a three mile radius and we STAY busy.

Make sure to get up to speed on Google My Business and start using it - nobody is finding you using ********. Get your location set up asap, so you start showing in Local Search (searches that use a location descriptor i.e. "chinese food near me").
I handle GMB among other online marketing/reputation aspects for several companies and would be happy to help (not for free) but honestly you should be able to figure it out.
Get a website even if it's just a single page of who you are and what you do.

Since you have a drone and land scape equipment do before and after shots with said drone to market your landscaping business.

Well OP you got a chit ton of ideas lol. My suggestion is to keep your focus on what can be accomplished most easily with the least amount of equipment/time. Throwing landscaping in with a pressure cleaning business would be nuts, however if you build up a landscaping business, adding a pressure wash service or haul away is a piece of cake and nice add on. My old man was a landscaper, it's not easy money and takes a lot of equipment to separate yourself from the guy with a mower undercutting everyone.
Edit-chit, you're in MS? Hmm, I'm not sure how to make landscaping a full time gig in snow states. Maybe offer snow related services, get a plow....chit now I'm contributing to the thousand ideas lol ...
