Just as an excuse for people to argue against re-opening the offices, which would allow them to keep "working" from home in their pajamas.

Firstly you were never afraid of dying from Covid, you aren’t in a group of concern. You may have been concerned about the potential severity of the disease, or possible long term effects.

I don’t know where you’ve got this Delta strain is less deadly from though, possibly it’s based on vaccinated community where impact of disease and risk of death i lessened.

Viruses don’t necessarily mutate to be less deadly that’s from an 1800s theory and “confirmed” by Fukken rabbits (bows)

Basically it is a theory that has many doubters and is certainly not true of every pathogen. Do you think TB is less virulent than it was, or do we simply have better treatment protocols ?

Fuk I’m boring myself now

Nah brah, I'm healthy and I'm not in a demographic or have comorbidities to be concerned about that ****, was exposed to the 'rona (was around a family member who was symptomatic) and my immune system wasn't even phased and beat that ****... which is why I'm not concerned about something that has mutated into a weaker version of itself, you'd have to be a ******* braindead liberal to be scared at this point tbh

If grown ass adults in first world countries with access to so much can't be bothered to learn how to treat this virus when they get it, so they don't end up in the hospital, my sympathy ran out awhile ago.

BTW, the delta variant is technically dubbed the "Indian" variant that came from India, but you know PC.

India at one point had a peak of about 400,000 cases -- which seems high until you realize a BILLION people live in India.

You know what India did? They went against the grain and administered both HCQ and Ivermeticin and dropped their severe cases down significantly.

Now the media's super quiet, you hardly hear about India anymore.

If I didn't get sick walking around without a mask surrounded by 100,000 people in Miami Beach back in March, I'm certainly not afraid of getting sick in my daily interactions.

Delta has been over 60% of our cases for a month and they continue to drop. So no. I'm in a city of over a million and we have 22 active cases, 0 in hospital and 0 in ICU. It's over where I am.

There's no point in even worrying or thinking about it anymore. India's drop wasn't due to vaccinations (which are still low) or mask wearing (the Indian gov says over half of Indians do not use masks), these waves just seem random at this point.
that's the thing, they do seem very random don't they?
Why did our first wave go away? It wasn't the vaccine.
Why did our second one go away?
Why is the third one even existing?

Similar pattern all around the world with these massive spikes then declines

I think the better question is, arevaccinatedpeople afraid of the delta variant? I doubt unvax people are afraid. Weren't afraid of the first and would want to end the lockdowns for good.

I just don't understand this catering to other's paranoia?

I just don't understand how I'm supposed to care about those who never gave a damn about me?

I just don't understand how people who don't care about others suddenly have this sense of community and desire to do things for others, as long as it's not actually doing anything.

I don't understand how people who don't care about their health suddenly do.

I'll never forget peak "WTF" moment when I came out of a building and this obese fat guy with his mask pulled down, smoking a cig, on his phone talking about how he's mad people aren't wearing masks and said "I don't want to get sick". Of course a fat fuk smoker has to be worried about catching covid, that is understandable, but quitting smoking is something he could do right then, and weight loss takes a while but never bothered him before.

viruses get weaker as they mutate.
we've always known this.

pretending that suddenly changed, while disengenuous, doesn't make things different.

wasn't scared of the chinavirus the first time around, definitely am not scared of an even weaker version...
