Just got evacuated (wildfire)

Ughhhhh, last picture I got before getting home to pack up stuff. We couldnโ€™t take the chickens and ducks :/ just the pig, cats and dog.

Had to help get the neighbors alpacas in a trailer and didnโ€™t have time for our birds and no easy way to transport them. Hopefully, the fire dies down.

We nearly had to evacuate from our area too at the start of the year
Stay safe op. Look on the bright side, if your ducks and chickens get caught up in the conflagration you won't have to cook them at least

Damn. Sorry OP. Hope the "commie" insurance and disaster relief will cover some. Also would have been better if we had listened to the "commie scientists" on climate change to make these events less likely.

well we had like 30 minutes. We have home owners insurance. The main focus was animals and stuff we can replace. Vegetation we had cleared in the spring but itโ€™s dry af here

Lived a bit south of there for the last decade. I don't miss breathing in smoke all summer. Last year was the worst with August/September being almost completely smoke filled.
