Interesting. Why did nas rap about becoming a serial killer? I think he had another verse in another song about killing people in alphabetical order from a phonebook

Probably a psychopath killer fantasy tbh. Rap probably helps him cope with not being able to fulfill this fantasy irl. If music didn’t work out, he’d be on forensic files and unsolved mysteries srs

Thats crazy. He was young when he made those rhymes too, probably not fully developed brain + living in the hood and seeing crazy stuff

I only know B-real from cypress hill. Its good stoner music

Nas is my favorite rap artist of all time. No comparison to him in that genre except maybe Tupac imo

I looked it upon Rap genius, he said it wasnt about That but he can see why people thought so. It was about questioning all Gods above humans

Interesting chit. After he became successful he got God's Son tatted on him

I guess if you fall to the bottom dregs of society then you are no longer constrained by social rules and mores since you have nothing to lose.

He talks about finding god later in his career on the song 'doo rags'

"The hardest thing is to forgive, but God does
Even if you murdered or robbed, years long, but God loves
Take one step toward him, he takes two toward you
Even when all else fail, God support you
I done it, got Gods son on my stomach
My heart and my lungs was affected from Henny's and getting blunted"

Yeah true but it seems like he does have fantasies of committing random murders based on his lyrics. Not everyone fantasizes about doing that

If you haven’t then Seek out “Ice Cube Killa” by cypress hill it’s my favorite rap diss of all time to.

Only one technical better is “Hit Em’ Up.” Pac cut deep.

Aware of “No Vaseline” as in I listened to it in cassette when it came out but I don’t think it holds up well I dunno ‍♂️
