Which branch of the military should I join?

Looking to do 3-4 years, not really into combat type stuff. Would like to finish my degree while in. Leaning more towards Air Force or maybe Coast Guard. Thanks!

Army=get treated like chit. The bonus is the higher you rank up the more people you can treat like chit.

Air Force=lol am I really in the military?

Navy=like boats? You won't after a few deployments. Also get to meet a lot of REALLY friendly guys.

Marines=like thinking you're the best thing since sliced bread? Perfect.

What are you studying in school and what field do you want to work in professionally? This will kind of help determine where ought to go.. some branches focus on some career paths better than others.

Avoid all recruiters like the plague until you decide on the branch you want to join - they are literal parasites that will try and wear you out to join, lie to you, false promises, etc.

Why are you joining the military in the first place? If you are already working on a degree and just want the sweet, sweet, GI Bill, then why not just join the reserves, larp once a month, and get all the benefits for 10 times less work?

I was in the Army. Killed a few guys wearing pajamas. It was fun. If I was you, I'd consider either Army or Navy. More opportunities.
Also depends on your long-term goals. Don't underestimate the fun of shooting people, though.

don't listen to this retard, there's 0% chance this is true. Grunts don't go around talking like this... my roommate in college was Army route clearance and came back pretty ****ed up. Then he had to bend over backwards to get a proper disability rating from the VA.

Air Force job that flies with their plane... loadmaster, boom operator, flight equipment. Don't settle for a dog**** job like security forces or maintenance.

Lol.

Just do what brah said a couple posts up. Just go AF Reserve. You pretty much get the same benefits as the guys who actually risk their lives and barely even feel like you’re in the military.

Anybody that talks like this is 100% full of chit. Guys you know IRL that brag about their combat tours are 100% full of chit. Every time. It is not a pleasant experience and ****s you up and you don’t casually talk about it. Anybody that’s done their time knows exactly what I’m talking about. Also lol @ Air Force having superior grunts. Ded. But joining a respectable branch in a combat MOS while we are in a garrison setting with no current conflicts sounds like a life of misery. The guys that talk chit about marines/army and any combat arms MOS are the same ones who fraud about their military experience because it comes down to wishing you had done the things that those guys had done. It’s a respect thing. Nobody respects POGs and that’s a tough pill for POGs to swallow

Air Force TACP are trained as infantry are... but are also JTACs. CCTs create more havoc than any other boots on ground unit in the military. The SOG commander at my base had a confirmed kill count in the thousands, literally had authority to call in a b2 bomber. Both have relatively high attrition rates... there's really nothing special about your basic army or marine infantry.

You’re comparing a special warfare team to ordinary grunts. BRB MARSOC is way more alpha than the grunt units their attached to. Not sure anything about TACP because they were never attached to my unit so have no experience with them. Also LMFAO @ confirmed kills. That’s a Hollywood/video game fantasy. I know a true story when I hear one! Can you tell me how many confirmed knife kills he has too?

.I did 3 tours and have over 500 confirmed kills, and can literally call in a golden eye laser strike anywhere in the world.

Confirmed kills refers to snipers taking out HVTs. I’m sure this guy was your commander and I totally believe your story especially considering how you loosely threw out the term confirmed kills. Fukin retard
