California vs Florida

Assume you are doing well, $250k per annum, which state would you choose and why?

Assume SoCal and Assume Tampa as the specific locations

Cali

Pros - In N Out, nicer year-round weather, "classier", perhaps more innovation/tech/smarter people/players

Cons - DemoRATS running the state, high personal income taxes, higher cost of living, ocean colder, beach not as nice, less freedoms

FL

Pros - nicer beaches, warmer water, lower cost of living, 0% income tax, more freedoms

Cons - def some white trash, hot + humid climate, less innovation/tech scene

If Commiefornia didn't have so many libtards, I'd pick LA over FL. Sinec they do, Florida in a landslide. Or perhaps a hurricane, kek.

LA probably peaked in the early 2000s, ever since it’s been hell.

Glad I’m moving out of this god forsaken state.

SoCal OC resident and if I didn't have a business with legacy custkmers I'd move to Florida in a heartbeat.

Place has been overrun by the 3rd world illegal horde and it's WAY too crowded. Liberals have ruined this once great state.

What? We are completely open with no restrictions. Have been for several months now.

I think he's talking about Los Angeles recently requiring masks in grocery stores and restaurants again. I'm in San Diego and you're in the Sacramento area. It hasn't hit us....yet.

as for the California vs Florida debate:

1. There's so much more to California than Los Angeles and San Francisco.

2. Don't come here if you're poor...and yes, TRIPLE national minimum wage is still "poor" What happens to those people is they move out here, they suffer from "sticker-shock" realize they have to live in some chitty slummy side of the state (something ALL states have) ONLY go to the generic touristy spots that are crowded and filled with panhandlers and derelicts and then bitch and moan how horrible it is because of such a narrow view of the state.

3. humidity phuckin' sucks in the south. Feel absolutely miserable everytime I find myself in that weather. It just drains me and I have to take a nap midday for no reason at all.

4. Don't like the idea of my dog getting dragged off in the middle of the night by a gator.

5. I have a thing for asian and Hawaii'an chicks.

6. Even if you don't like In-N-Out California just has so many options of eateries and dining. Didn't care for the tacos at that mexican joint? There's a half dozen more that you probably WILL like in a 3 block radius

7. I have never felt inconvenienced because of "liberals" You people as like a liberal is a virus that you can catch that will turn you into one. Those are called crazy people and all major cities have them and i'm almost certain Tampa also has its fair share of nutjobs of a different spectrum.

I’d prob rent out an apartment with a roommate and live on the beach in Ventura or maybe buy a house in ojai

If I was making 100k then I’ll definitely choose Florida

If you're a redneck then you thrive in that heat, but I'm more Western than the Florida Cracker kind of redneck. New Mexico is nice and so is California, but I much prefer the South because it's where I'm from.

If I had to choose, then I'd go with Florida panhandle or Miamimaxxing.

Also, it's not about the people being liberals because I can get along with people who vote for either party. It's the government making more invasive laws and more closely regulating people's lives. Lockdowns, gun laws, etc.

Honestly, lockdown states are getting devastated. Taking a huge hit to their economies, destroying their education system, and most of all denying our basic rights as Americans.

That's why people are leaving in droves to free states in the South and Midwest.

I'd choose Florida.

I'm kind of laughing writing this but as a young kid my father had two job offers, one was in the LA area of California. The other was in the Tampa area. I said lets move to Tampa and that is what we did. So i've been saying Florida for a long time.

Eh, not necessarily. Even if you completly ignore the cost of living (lol at $12.99 for a gallon of milk) Youre still stuck on an island. Wanna go to a particular amusement park or concert venue? You gotta fly to the mainland. Wanna go to the snow? Gotta fly to the mainland (FYI California has several really awesome ski resorts, something Florida lacks).

Oh and just lol at the strictly enforced 55mph freeways in Hawaii I'd pull my hair out living in that day in and day out. Hawaii is the epitome of a vacation state. You stay there for a week or two out of the year and thats it.
