Work phones... what's the deal? (srs)
If I get a work phone, does that mean I have to carry that chit around with me everywhere? Never heard anything about being oncall in interviews/job description.
In fact, I think I asked and they said no. It's software engineering.
Don't want to install their bloatware on my phone but also don't want to lug 2 phones around on a night out or when I go to the gym or something.
Maybe I should start pursemaxxing? What are yall's thoughts?

Just turn it off when you leave. Leave it at work even.

At my work if we turn down a work phone they pay us $20 a month. I mean it is 2021 everyone has unlimited calling text and data, why would you take up the burden of a 2nd phone?

The thought did also strike me, if they're asking me to do oncall-esque chit, I'm probably bailing asap, so I guess it doesnt matter too much.
Appreciate the responses brahs.
