I may or may not have family members who knew people... I’m not saying I would’ve joined, but there was a time when a civilian could dabble and make some decent cash on the side while earning the respect and protection of the mob, without the dangers of getting whacked for violating an oath.

Oh and the cops were almost as dirty as the mob back then. I know of a guy who was beat up and forced to strip naked by police then walk home in the winter for not ratting on his associates srs.

Bruh every ethnicity has an organized crime syndicate, and they don't discriminate depending on what you're willing to do.

Anglos have had prison gangs, biker gangs, and government intelligence agencies.

However, these days, the big national supergangs like folk and people nations have every race mixed together.

And it has never been anything like the movies, though I really like gangster movies.

Nothing easy about killing a drug dealer or selling heroin to a single mom, nor is it something people do because it's cool.

People do it because they are desperate, recruited at a young age, and social outcasts most of all.

That's what gangsters have in common, they are all on the fringes of society.

Police and federal law enforcement commit crimes all the time, it's called corruption.

Cops sell drugs and so do the feds, they also make illegal weapon sales and kill people.

If anything, the US government is the most powerful criminal organization on Earth.

They enforce the laws so they can easily get away with breaking them.
