Leather Trainers/Sneakers as main shoes? [pic]

Sup Misc, a quick fashion/proper outfit quickie:



My going out is literally comprised of dates with girls and friends - in parks, restaurants.

I really want to keep an optimised, minimalist wardrobe as I don't give too much ****s but I want to not be autism level.





So now, I know some might consider it too teenagery but it is quite far from "gym trainers" like these:





But more like these:





So, pretty close and shouldn't worry about it too much? Wear them with jeans/chinos + polo/casual shirt and we good?


For formal events I simply default to formal shoes:

the first and third pictures are literally the most popular style of shoe right now. basically everyone has a pair.

not a big fan of black shoes though

aren't a fan of the contrast variants (liek the black white

but a solid white or solid black in that style is pretty versatile, easily dressed up or down

black with white soles is better than solid black imo. solid white obviously the most versatile.

let's keep the monochrome (depending on who u ask white soles with another colour is still monochrome tho) debate outside as it is agnostic of what I asked but cheers for the input on that brahs.

I dont understand fashion and I dont want to spend a lot of time on it -> I just want to know if the first and third are practically the same style/type etc and that they are ok as everyday shoes (going out and about with girls etc)

because it is obvious that they are different from the second pic, even though they are also labelled as "trainers/sneakers"


I share the same thoughts on black as a colour for all purposes other than the formal as well brah but again that is agnostic of the style/type question at hand - white/navy/dark brown with dark pants and bright colour top makes a good overall contrast.

yes both are totally acceptable. in terms of style they are the same--the difference is the third has a sleaker silhouette, looks to be made from higher quality materials (the adidas ones aren't even made from real leather) and has zero branding. overall a more attractive and versatile shoe vs the first.

yes but I would be correct in saying that the adidas one is the same type/style and wouldn't cause bad impressions compared to the third (altho the cleaner look vibe)?


because I was told Adidas and such brands shouldn't be used for anything other than the second pic and the second pic with jeans going out is simply wrong and horrible ... but between the first and second there is a CLEAR separation and it looks like something you would wear even in a business casual env with a long-sleeve shirt and chinos;

excellent repped; so since we confirmed they are both the same type now I have such a wide range on these everyday shoe type to pick from that, combined with a not too picky colour palette of navy/dark brown/white, I will always find something more premium on sale
