NASA investigates renaming James Webb telescope after anti-LGBT+ claims

Some astronomers argue the flagship observatory — successor to the Hubble Space Telescope — will memorialize discrimination. Others are waiting for more evidence.

Sigh...regardless of lgbt policy, we wouldn't have NASA without him lol. A lot of ppl have just decided he was a bad guy with zero evidence to support that. It's sad really.

Don't worry. The JWST is still the most ambitious telescope in human history. It will offer key insights into exoplanets and may help us discover habitable worlds. It will also allow us to see backwards in time to some of the earliest stages of the universe.

Physics and mathematics got us to where we are.
I didn't mean being anti-LGBTQ got us to where we are. People from the past did, people who grew up immersed in different societal values and cultural norms.

Liberals wish to tyrannize the past and present to shape the future to their liking. They wish to discredit anyone who's past or present ideology doesn't match their future ideals. Basically, they're Machiavellian tyrants who use virtue-signaling to attain power since they lack the strength or willpower to do it by force.

True. Not all liberals condone this though. I mean we obviously shouldn't deify ppl who did morally reprehensible things. It's just that what bothers me here is there is no evidence James Webb really did anything wrong.

Yeah idk. I think libs are gonna keep getting their way until we're all in chains or some major self-correcting catalyst happens.

Not all libs are like that for sure, just the extreme left which seem to have a lock on the U.S. right now
