Heading out of town for work for about 4 days... how to keep gains?

I've been making strides with my squat in the gym and have to leave tomorrow for work which involves about a 8-10 hour car drive, I'll be back home around Friday.

My concern is that the excess travel / sitting in a car for that long might have some effect on my legs, so I'm going to bring my foam roller to roll.

Obviously keep funneling in food and protein as much as possible.

Will my body actually appreciate the rest/break from the gym for a few days?

So for 8 hours you won’t pass a single gym?
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

4 days is nothing. Even two weeks you won't lose anything unless you are starving that entire time.

Use it to rest and recover. Taking a week or so off every few months is not only going to not result in any muscle loss, but will probably help you gain more in the long run. When I have to go out of town for work, I work out extra hard in the days leading up to it and use the days off to recover.

I did squats and deads today.

I currently don't drink either, so just trying to get as much food as I can tho.

I guess deloads and rest weeks don't exist????? Come on OP 4 days is literally nothing. In fact you may actually benefit from the time off.

I've been jumping up in weight and just didn't want to jeopardize any progress that's all.
