If you're just now opening a brokerage account, do yourself a favor and don't look into options trading, just don't do it.

You're welcome.

Only stocks right now. I've tried options couple of times and it didn't turn out well for me.

i like options more than shares now lol - if you can some what map resistance and support you should be ok for the most part.

plus i love puts; to me at least it easier to identify when something is oversold or way overvalued

either way still 10-15% gain YTD so no much to brag about lol

Couldn't resist with AMD. Just bought 10 measly shares. I will buy fractional shares here and there to add to this monster of a stock.

I've been staying away from amc options. They're just algo trading and burning theta since June. Couple of opportunities since then but difficult to time.

I was being sarcastic, have a feeling Tesla will continue to trade sideways until late August/into September. Would love for it to break 700 and hold but don't see it. Factories need to be completed imo.

No number of car-making factories justifies that valuation, Tesla is valued so highly from the priced-in potential of all the other angles (FSD revenue, fleets of robotaxis, flying cars, HVAC, energy) and it feels like the narrative around much of that stuff is suffering

I'd selfishly love for it to come down to reality so I can throw money at a "green" hedge against my O&G stonks in a company that I at least somewhat understand, but I'm not buying a hedge that has real big downside potential if these things ^^ don't pan out

I'm curious to see how this plays out when the big auto companies start eating into Tesla's market share. Tesla vehicles have major quality problems and will have to tackle those growing pains.

GM,Ford,Volkswagen are dumping huge amounts of money into EV R&D. I can't see Tesla coming out on top.

Their other deals are going to need to pick up the slack big time

I know I said oil was going to dip and it is but it seems like it still needs to go up just a little bit more before it really falls again.

It really looks like it wants to fall hard now though.

I'm not too sure what to do lol.
