High Proton, High Fat & Low Carb Diet

Chaps,

I'm not talking about keto because I do not intend to cut carbs out (I'm Irish & love potatoes etc). Any experience with this? How did it effect gainz/strength/weight? I'm 6'2, currently sitting at 215lbs and riding an OJ only bike at 600km per week. Also what did your meals consist of & was it difficult to stick to? I currently eat steak/eggs/bread for breakfast. Something like rice & chicken wrap for my lunch. Dinner is usually meat/veg/potatoes. I'd ideally like to cut the rice/pasta/potatoes out of my lunch/dinner but dunno what to replace it with without eating nothing but eggs 24/7.

Shirataki noodles were recommended too me by I think backinthegymbro. Almost zero calorie but a bit on the pricey side in the UK. Not sure what your budgets like.

Don’t call me a chap, pal.

As for your question, listen to your body and give it what it wants. Balanced diet works best for me. Actually, high carbs, protein, and low on the fat is what works the best.

Yeah seen these before but I want to keep my cals up. I'm probably around 3000 per day at the moment and want to keep it similar.

Buddy, my body wants chocolate, cream buns, chinese food & alcohol brah. I get its a trial and error thing to find what works best. I've done high carbs/protein in the past when going full bulk mode couple years back, made good gains & strength was great but didn't like the amount of chitting I had to do. I want to try a nutrient dense diet without completely cutting carbs out to see how it goes. Just curious if anyone has done similar.

I've dropped a few bf points or so,

6 whole eggs for lunch cooked in ghee, some two good greek yogurt. Maybe an ounce of cheese if I'm still hungry
ribeye/ground beef/chicken/tuna steak, cooked in tallow or ghee, vegetable of some sort, maybe a sweet potato
snacks are beef jerkey w/ no sugar, cheese, whatever else has low to no carbs, I will usually drink a kombucha as well.

Feel great, lifts have stayed the same so I'm fine with that since I'm cutting. Down 5 lbs, seems to be mostly fat based on the mirror.

Once I'm down to low enough bf plan to stay there and slowly add more carbs to each meal and monitor bf as needed. Don't want to feel fat ever again. As for being on OJ, probably don't want to cut out carbs totally so you can keep your cals up, try to time them around you workout and then go no carb the rest of the day
MFC

RIP YGST
