If you were to go back two years and tell people if there would be this much commotion over the flu and flu shots, nobody would believe you.
The guys talking about "the vaccines saving us" and "I hope cases go down", come on man. Cases will go down when they want them to go down.

What happened to herd immunity plan again? 70% of the population should have had covid now given the number of reported and the 80% unreported.

It's not the politicians who are mandating the masks again that are the problem, it's the people who are unvaccinated.
How people keep falling for this division is crazy.

People really need to learn their history. It's funny how the people pearl clutching over vaccines, quarantines, and isolating infected people are the same people that like to fetishize the time when this happened. The Declaration was signed while there were active quarantines. The Constitution was signed only a handful of years after they ended. The signers of the Constitution were almost all in political offices during quarantine measures. While not all founding fathers thought alike (Franklin was at one point against vaccinations), it's a bit funny that no one seems to mention America's first president was pro-mass vaccination and quarantine.

What an absolutely idiotic argument. 99.999% of people who don’t want this vaccine aren’t saying nobody should get any vaccine ever. They’ve done their prudential risk calculation and made their decision. Virus which they are damn near certainly not going to die from, or vaccine with unknown risks.
Covid != smallpox.

The way I see it. I don’t give a fukk if people get vaxed or not. But vaxed people care a lot if I do not participate in it.
So stay salty.

Remember they call every gathering they don’t like a super spreader event, and the “experts” were fine with peaceful protesting during a super scary pandemic because it was crucial “to save black lives” (after they told us covid hurts black communities the most)

I work with PhDs, 100% vaxxed, family is MDs or McKinsey level consultants, vaxxed. The lady who throws my trash out at work? Unvaxxed (but she's really nice). My uncle who is an unemployed IT guy? Unvaxxed. My former throat slam/fukk buddy that's a complete alcoholic and unemployed living off her parents? Unvaxxed. Uncle is also an alcoholic, so out of the three people I know for sure are unvaxxed, two of them guzzle a handle of vodka every night and think nothing of it, but they're concerned about what exactly again?

You guys remeber when you had to get half way through a full conversation to determine if someone was mentally challenged? Now you can tell from 100 feet away. Thats probably the only good thing that has come out of the past couple years.

Jfl I’ve been getting some backlash from it. Went to Carowinds with a big group last week, only one not vaxxed, most of them need students/doctors.
One of them mentions to me now anyone unvaxxed is bringing it on themselves and he doesn’t care if they die/get hospitalized. I agreed, compared it to drunk drivers who I have no sympathy for. They all stopped after that because that dude’s brother there with us had drove home after five drinks at an Olympic watching party the night before. JFL at virtue signaling at me about this chit.
You’re vaxxed and will have supposedly almost no chance of getting it so why care? I’m taking the risk myself and anyone who isn’t vaxxed basically made the choice or shouldn’t be out in public if immunocompromised/susceptible. Same as obese people stuffing their faces with junk food. The difference is the significant benefit to risk of eating healthy and working out compared to obesity, whereas a healthy young guy getting vaxxed is mostly unnecessary. I agreed the general public should get vaxxed esp w comorbidities but I don’t personally see the point.

i'm pro do whatever the fuark you want. The people I've seen wish death on others the most are pro-vaxers. Saying **** like "They deserved it for not getting the vaccine". Didn't realize we were stooping so low

While discrimination at work regarding vaxx status, masks or no masks, etc. is forbidden, it would be a career killer for anyone considered “talent” to show up with a mask, the assumption being they’re either A. Anti-science or B. Lazy.
That’s fukked but it’s the reality.
I couldn’t give a fuk whether people are vaxxed, it doesn’t change the needle and who am I to judge their individual experience.
But the reality is that while I’m sure people have some buddies who work at Jiffy Lube that have watched some YouTube vids on the vaccine being a sinister plot to track them (via their iPhone JFL), that most reasonable real MDs and epidemiologists understand vaccines help.
Everything has a risk, there is a low level of risk for a healthy individual to get the vaxx, I mean hell the nurse could slip and jab you in the neck, and there are always rare reactions to a vaccine.
But if people are worried about a greater world order controlling them through sinister means in a vaccine, they already did the damn thing with FB, Google, etc.
For every unfortunate negative reaction to the vaccine there are thousands of cases of people dead from the disease.
Live and let live, but I’ll step when someone calls me dumb for getting vaxxed. My gf is unvaxxed and you know what, whatever.
But anyone that doesn’t believe in vaccines might wanna check on the science behind what they do believe... Sounds like some Astrology MFer’s lol.

I won't get the vaccine.
If people want to, that's fine, their choice. But they won't shut the fuk up about it, nor will they allow anyone else to make the decision for themselves.
It's a cult. They have to explain why they're the better / smarter person for taking the "JAB." Which, ultimately, is an untested, rushed shot from companies that have horrific track records.

The scarlet letter is an analogy I hadn't thought of before, but perfectly sums up the situation.
That is what drives me the most nuts. All because you have a different opinion, you are socially ostracized, financially stymied and cast away from professionally networking due to a visible "non conformity" mask put in place by people who are often smart enough to know that there are alternative viewpoints, but don't acknowledge them due to their own personal risk aversion of hindering personal corporate goals.
What's worse is these people know this and will still advance a status quo of weaponized social manipulation for their own endeavors. It enters the realm of cowardice versus sociopath/psychopathy.
