Wife's a doctor, forced to take vaccine soon. Wot do? (pic)

I saw a similar thread about a miscer and his gf the other day. Wife works in a NYC hospital and is the only intern in her program that's not vaccinated. With delta variant on the rise, the ED is full of patients with COVID-19 once again. We are moving to Milwaukee next summer because she has a PGY2-PGY5 spot waiting for her there. I thought we could hold out and make it to freeman soil, but she got an email this morning saying it's mandatory to get vaccinated by September 1. Wot do? We still wanted to have more kids.

have another doctor who doesn't want to get it sign off that he/she gave it to her and she (your wife) gave it to him/her. can get fired or w/e over it, but if you're that opposed then not many options outside of lying somehow or quitting temporarily which seems bad in residency, but i don't know. all options seem suspect and with large consequences. i assume it's not something she has access to or can self administer or else this wouldn't be an issue.

might consider forging a vaccine card, idk if they check lot number of the vaccine though.

You mean you didn't see what that one judge in Florida ruled? About 200 people working in that hospital resigned from their jobs just to avoid getting vaccinated.

I think you misread. She's in a NYC hospital doing a prelim year, and then moving to Milwaukee (MCW not aurora) for another 4 years of training. As far as I know, they don't have mandatory vaccinations in Wisconsin.

I know another lady in a somewhat similar situation, works in a hospital and refuses the vaccine. I'm not sure of her reasoning but she's still working. Don't know how she gets it worked out. At least in the recent past this was the case. Don't know how things are at the current situation.

I am in the same position, my wife just got a phone call the other day saying by next wednesday she has to decide to get the vaccine or she can't work there. No way in hell that shiit is going into her arm. She does not want it either. Still figuring out what the next move is.

Know what, we were on our Ob/Gyn clerkship rotation back in March of 2020. Nobody was wearing masks yet. This one patient was already seen and we hear talking on the phone with the principal of her son's school saying "yeah..I think my son has COVID". Resident just walked out of the room wide-eyed and told us that he's not going back in there to see her. A week later, my wife, oldest son and I, were fuked for about a week. First day, we couldn't get out of bed, and I was throwing up bile. I honestly don't know how many times we've had it afterwards, could've been any one time we thought we had a cold.

Know the director of large hospital here. Also refuses to get it. Was made mandatory. He makes like 300k or more so prob not worth quitting over.

how about your wife gets blood drawn for an antibody test. if she was infected, she's far more immune to it than someone taking the fake vaxx

Wife is a radiologist and they told her last week she has till October to get the vax.

Talked to a lawyer friend and he suggested the religious route. We can live off my income no problem but she isn't the type that's ok with not having a job and its looking like most medical centers are pushing their employees to get the vax.

We've been throwing around the idea of starting our own business (she does the scans/consults, I do the books/business side as that is my trade) so this might be the time.

One could probably forge it because the vaccine cards are just index cards on which you write with pen. They could look up the lot number, but I don't know if anybody does that. I had to get three Hep B boosters, and I don't think anywhere in my career anybody bothered to look up the lot numbers. But then again, we need to get our hands on a vaccine card lol. Those mobile vaccine things have them...

If she's licensed, I don't see why she can't live in Antarctica and read scans in US (unless she nuclear rads or something).
