Used to puff on my brother's back in the day (no homo). Thinking about getting a cheap corncob pipe and trying it out again. Was looking at the Missouri Meerschaum corn cobb pipe since it's like $12. If I like it I'll add to the collection, if I hate it then I'll have spent like $20 total.

Found a good channel on YT as well

I always looked down on smoking because ciggies are indeed disgusting. But I always have fond memories of smoking pipes and cigars. Come to find out ciggies are chock full of a bunch of chit that's causing them to be very, very bad for you (duh). Whereas just smoking pure tobacco a few times a week poses very little risk at all. Interdasting...

What pipes do y'all use and can y'all recommend any tobacco? Looking at non-aromatics. Purist crew. Will be using this with tea/coffee and as a relaxation/meditation tool in a way. How often are ya kunts smoking as well? Seems counter-intuitive to a lifting lifestyle but I figured I'd only do it 1-3x a week anyway.

I love it. Currently smoking cigs but I will get off them. I've been kinda stressed recently.

I love: Dunhill nightcap, Rattray's Red Rapparee, Mac baren Old dark fired kentucky. America really had lots of regional varieties of baccy. Kinda shame it's dying out.

I can see it being a very relaxing experience, whenever Ive seen pipe smokers the smoke smelled pretty amazing. I used to smoke cigars and liked it so i can see it being a similar experience. Ultimately though smoking a cigar or a pipe on a regular basis will greatly increase ur chances of mouth and throat cancers.

Just bought a corncob to try it out. Got Virginia something or other tobacco. Lighting wasn't hard. Enjoyable... I need to try it more. I'm a cigar guy though. Have a few hundred cigars in my humidor. Need to try some different tobaccos in my pipe.

My next door neighbor growing up smoked 1 fine cigar a night when he got home from work which smelled incredible; but starting Friday night he would smoke a pipe at sunset every night which I remember smelling magnitudes better.

Would love to smoke cigars / pipes, but my favorite uncle died from jaw cancer from tobacco use at a relatively young age and I just cant.

Lots of the Navy Nuke guys here do that at the cigar lounge I go to. I have been wanting to get into it but still have way too many cigars to smoke before then.

Local shop has this black cherry that just smells beyond amazing, and a peach one too....

Hmm, not sure they do blends for that but if you like LOTR that series basically revived the churchwarden style pipe.

Why cigs and how many a week you think? I'll look into those, thank you for the recommendations. Not surprising the Virginian varieties are going to the wayside though.

True. I'd want to keep it at a much less frequent rate than multiple times a day.

Yeah that's nostalgic hnngg. Did he use pure tobacco or modern cigs/chew/snuff type stuff that's got a bunch of other stuff in it? Just curious, but understand your decision.

Nice. I found a local cigar shop that has pipes. Might stop in since it's next door to my barber. Hate ordering on Amazon tbh.

as for the the tobacco type, start with light soft if its mentioned
aviod hitting the saturated type, would advise with captain black
and like the others said, smoking kills and it waste money...srs

I only smoke briars.
I smoke Captain Black.
I don't smoke the cherry stuff. Just Captain Black and Borkum Riff.

You can get a good inexpensive briar on amazon.

Thanks for your input brah srs. I found a local shop here, called the Briar Shoppe, lol. They sell all the main brands and also local guys who make pipes, pretty neat.

I have an old kinda fancy carved meerschaum pipe from my grandfather.
it's beat up.
I never really was taught how to pack it so it kept going out on me but i had some flavorful tobacco.

my dad told me the old school cigar smokers will put whats left of their cigar into a pipe to finish it when they smoke it down until they can't hold it.
i guess cigar butts were something you didn't do back then?

Support local businesses brah, it will keep that chit going. Otherwise we won't have shops to lounge at brah!

Plus you get to smell and sample it at a shop. My lounge will let you sample a pack in your pipe.
