Odd question but if you buy 100 shares of something and then make two trades the same day selling 1 share followed by 99 shares, does that count as two strikes against the pattern day trading rule?

So what's different this time around that the whole market will tank? It's been tanking like every two weeks to a month and in the end we just end up bouncing back

I don't think the delta variant will cause as much harm as people expect, if anything it's the media that will cause harm by overhyping it if that's what you mean, and politicians don't have the balls to try and enforce another lockdown (they will threaten but not follow through.. I think second time around people won't listen). The worst they would do is mask mandates indoors, IMO. Look at what's happening in France, they're rioting and trying to get Macron to resign, here in the states even bluepill folks who vaccinated are losing confidence in authority's decision making.

As far as your 80% vaxxed statistic, initially Fauci called for herd immunity now he's calling that an outdated concept, and it seems like his end goal is to have every single human being vaccinated. Hard to say where that will take us.



Can you quantify what you mean by insane inflation? It seems like you're banking on things getting completely out of control.

What I've done to hedge is guns, gold/silver, ammo, 6 months food supply, being equipped to survive without water/electricity sources, and minimizing expenses. Don't really have use for cars/homes/land in the near term so if anything I may just buy more gold as a hedge.

Brahs, I haven’t read the past couple dozen pages, and I also owe a few responses over DMs, but I’m about to get a substantial payout from a partnership, and I’m honestly considering piling it all into a bet against the S&P 500.

My general portfolio (PLTR, SOFI, a few smaller bets in other areas) is not generally correlated with the overall market so I won’t touch those.

From someone with a statisticians and somewhat of a worldly view, with some epidemiological background, it is scientific fact we won’t avoid some type of economic harm from the Delta variant (if you’re a science denier good for you for being so smart and better than me, I’m so dumb any argument won’t effect my view so don’t even try).

At anything less than 80% vaxxed i think we’re fukked, it will at best be a smoldering fire, but I think there’s a chance we might see a serious parabolic move in the next few weeks, and the ammo is limited with how the PPP loans and unemployment were used.


TLDR: This looks dangerous I’d bet on 25k Dow before 40k Dow.
