Anyone ever think about their ex? srs

my first real relationship when i was 21-26. i was insecure from the beginning of the relationship, also was when i was first miscing as well too so that didnt help my view of women at the time.

anyway, after 5 years of ups and downs, the relationship flew apart. i had always kept my emotions in a box, and at the time of the break up, despite her crying breaking down and wanting to stay with me, i was cold hearted. due to circumstances we stayed in eachothers lives the few years after. this past year was the first year that we were mostly out of each others lives.

bc of the main and trauma i caused her, she has no feelings towards me anymore. but through the times after our breakup and my own maturity i realized all the ways i didnt show the love i had for her.

i still think about her from time to time. more so this past week. but i realized that with girls ive talked to or hooked up with after, non really interests me cause i still in some ways have love for my ex. but i know she's far moved on, but she's still single / lonely and wishing desperately for a connection, (we never had a connection, our selves werent at the right maturity level to allign)

just curious if anyone else has dealt with similar. legit havent felt any real connection or desire for a person since that relationship

She was the best man

You can get her back OP but you gotta change

Wait too long and she settles for some random just like you might

Dude this is how love works.

You meet somebody who is energetically aligned to deep down, like how you felt when you were a little kid playing around, ect - it goes well for a couple of month, and then all hell breaks loose due to the damaged egos of both people.

Love is a choice and required for you to be cognisant of your own thought processes, intentions, and motivations.

That fairly tale sh*t about falling in love and forgetting your problems is all bullsh*t, because eventually all the crap you were insecure about will come to surface anyway.

Work on your self and you will eventually not need somebody else to feel good about your self.

You said you were abusive towards your ex veery casually - do you realise that people who are abusive to loved ones usually end up alone?

Being alone, yet needing company and human contact - yikes, that sounds like hell!

i've been alone most of my life. thats why my first gf was at 21. and we both had a lot of internal sht we didnt see or realize was there.
i dont need anyone to make me feel happy. i've done alot of self work over the last couple years, and thats why i realized that i really did love her, i just let my ego get in the way.

i didnt really want other people, my ego did. and now that i've been single, i dont mind being alone at all. it's when im with other girls, (currently in Peru spending 2 weeks with a girl i met here) that i think about my ex. i'm not the type to want to go through people after people, i create bonds and hold them in my heart. which is why i feel like i cant really get into anything serious with anyone right now, because i still look back on previous loves

Dude if you're still seeing people and having sex, etc, you have not healed enough.

You're not supposed to 'need' sex, you're supposed to just exist in the moment.

nope.

I have to take medication for epilepsy. It dulls your emotions, which is kind of annoying, but with relationship break ups its the best man. Never anything to get over.

I think about my ex every single day (srs) and I date a million girls. She was so beautiful and innocent and a rare feminine conservative Christian girl and I would have died 1,000 times to protect her honor because women like her don’t exist anymore. I fuking loved her more than anything.

that's what i strive for srs. the past can cause pain, and the future is overwhelming so i do my best to stay in the present. definitely not looking for sex or needing it. i realized more and more that i really dont care for it. that's why i honestly dont ever put in effort for "sex" and could never simp for pussy.

healing is a process and still working on letting go, now that i realize it's still there and may always be.

we're gonna make it brah. i think it's best to stay single unless something organically happens and another girl comes along that youre into that naturally lets you forget the ex and truly move on

when it comes to love for some reason when girls move on, it's usually completely over and fully cut. for guys there seems to always be something that they hold onto. i hear ya. but it's best to not break NC.

the few times i have i've been met with reminders that it's over completely for her, and that hurts. sometimes can

Only one EX I think of and she was similar
Pushed her away because she wanted children.

I dated someone for 10 years as well. I never think about her because it was a negative thing

When a couple breaks up, it usually hits the woman the hardest up front and the guy less so. He sometimes even has feelings of freedom or as if a burden has been lifted off his shoulders. Women get over it quicker though, and the pain for men usually sets in in the months to come…or so I’ve heard.

i suppose. it's an equal balance man, you'll either feel the strongest beautiful emotions, or the deepest pain. i've always told myself i'd rather feel more, so i can reach the highest experiences of joy and pleasure, and be willing to take the deepest pains on the other side. but sometimes i feel like its better to not feel emotions deeply. the pain fukkin sucks sometimes

Yes I have experienced a very similar situation with my ex. We are together for 5 years on and off, and 3 years straight. I was 19 and she was 17 when we met and I was 24 and she was 22 (our current ages) when we finally called it quits permanently. Fairly recently we decided that it just can’t work, no amount of temporary breaks we could take could heal what was broken. We are now out of contact and she deleted all pics of us together off of her social media. She used to be deeply in love with me, I was her first boyfriend but because of the trauma I put her through her heart was broke and she really changed a lot as a person over the course of the last couple years for the worst. She was a lot happier during the breaks we had, and so I know that she is better off without me.

Truthfully we still care a lot about each other, I want her to be happy, but I really didn’t want to be in the relationship anymore either. I just don’t think we were a good fit. We didn’t have many common interests. Sometimes I think about her, I still have tons of pictures of us I sometimes look at, presents she bought me, etc. But I know that we tried so many times to fix things and it just wasn’t working, we would have some good days or weeks but then probably would arise again.

I think a lot of memories I had of our time together my brain began to erase, I still remember her but it feels like a distant memory. There is really only about a dozen strong memories that I can recall with really good clarity.

The gheyest thing I’ve read on this forum

Your innocent Christian gf is choking on Jamals meat stick rn

-Make up running down her face
-Face red raw from the face slaps she receives while choking on a dink
-Her crucifix chain covered in saliva and pre cum

Lmao your “innocent conservative Christian girl” is for the streets retard
