Favorite steak cut?

Beside rib eye and chuck eye, I don't eat anything else really but I'm open to suggestion.
I had a flat iron cut one day and it was surprisingly good but I haven't had it ever since.

What do you guys eat?

anything else except a5 wagyu fillet is cope. if you prefer more versatile/higher fat cuts of beef then you probably don't know how to properly cook a steak

Bone-in NY Strip but I won't argue with anyone that says bone-in ribeye or t-bone is the best.

Bone in NY strip? A t bone is NY strip and tenderloin with bone separating the two cuts.

i feel like with a5 wagyu I would rather have a prime rib because the wagyu fat is so delicious it would be a waste to get a lean cut.

If I'm cooking for two or three people I'll buy a sirloin cap (aka picanha/culotte/rump cap). I'll reverse sear the roast and slice it thinly against the grain.

I don’t have a favorite.

Rib eye, NY, filet, tenderloin, flank, etc etc all good

I’m generally not a fan of bone-in steak, but they’re still good too

Porterhouse is the strip and filet, not the ribeye.

But yeah, just lol at anyone who says strip, filet, or t-bone since the porterhouse is just an elevated version of all of those. Porterhouse is the best of all worlds.

Although a good skirt or flank dish sometimes can't be beat but I wouldn't include those as "steak"

It depends what I'm in the mood for, usually either a ribeye or a filet mignon. I haven't tried wagyu yet tho.

fyi- wagyu isn't a cut of steak, it's a type of cattle. So you can get any cut of steak in wagyu form (wagyu ribeye, wagyu tenderloin, wagyu ny strip, etc.). Wagyu cattle is much fattier than normal cattle so the meat is much more tender and tastier.
