Ok, so a friend of mind has basically gone mad and won't believe, so he says, language or mathematics based arguments against the flat earth theory. He makes claims about the convexity of water and that it cannot bend or something and this is one of his main arguments. He argues on the semantics of words and that a truth cannot be accepted unless it is demonstrated physically not by language or photos.

Here is an example of the kinda of things he comes out with:

'please try the beach thing'...NASA says you can't detect curvature until you are above 60,000 feet...if you are claiming that as a proof you are duty bound to provide it not me...lets say you post this pic ..it will still be classed as a visible proof... effectively worthless by itself due to visible geometry...for eg...look down your street and give me the exact dimensions of a building in the distance using only your eyes...it is impossible...you can only make assumptions./ 'other people have proved it's a sphere' ...appeal to authority fallacy/ 'the moon and sun are spheres so why not earth'...are they? These are assumptions..no one has measured them in 3dimensions (how can a ball of fire exist in a vacuum) your logic... snooker balls are spheres, therefore the snooker table must be a sphere'/'all objects with mass are a gravitational force'... assumption...first practicall demonstrate your imaginary friend gravity ( density, bouyancy makes more sense regarding directionality)... Man water can never stay on a sphere only in TV/ Einstein's a fraud read up on the hundreds of German scientists that called him out as a fraud. (Not being a dick I am interested bin the reasoning process not personal)...thing is imagine being born and living in jungle entire life one would never advance adult say they live on a spinning space ball with water stuck to it, people upside down to them.you need to be conditioned...it should be a dispassionate enquiry but people defend the globe claim and recite explanations 'gravity solar system' without any substance based proof....you can fill a glass of water right now and there is your answer...but you have been conditioned to deny that reality and replace it with images on a TV
