True, the younger people were actually way better than the general population of adults too which was an interesting dynamic. But I agree there was a really good balance of outdoor play and adventure and having to use social skills like talking to people in person or using a telephone and then with technology.

Tfw was a "computer wiz" to all my parent's friends, just because I used a pc a few times lmao what a weird time to grow up.

The internet was quite literally the wild west back then.

This thread really brings the feels. 84 here, and these years were the best. Now I have some kids of my own, and I really hate the world they are having to grow in currently. It is such **** compared then. I always wonder if they will look back at these days and think the exact same on their future.
