Probably because, at least in many cases, white men are taught that everything that makes you a man is bad. Aggression, risk taking, individualism, toughness etc... are all taught as 'bad' qualities to have. These kids are then pumped full of drugs for things like "adhd" which should instead be treated by letting the kid go outside and be a boy/teenager, sit inside playing video games all day, eat food with little nutritional value and end up 25 year old lanklets who have never had a GF or done anything outside of a video game. If you spend time in minority communities or in white rural communities you won't see this as much if at all. It's almost like being raised not to be a man messes with a man's mental health.

I'm thankful I wasn't raised that way and definitely won't raise my kid that way.

Multiple factors here, but meaning in life is not found through wealth or materialism. On another note, I believe that the white male is one of the most oppressed groups in western countries today.

I’m quite sure this combination would lead to higher suicide rates

It's very rare someone survives a bullet center mass of the brain, if they do they end up in a coma before they pass away due to intracranial hemorrhage, what happens when someone survives is the bullet bounces off of the neurocranium and ricochets out of the head somewhere else or it's a hollow point that fragments into many tiny shards

Working level 1 trauma I have seen people come in because they chose to put the gun in their mouth & often what happens is they blow out the back of their throat missing the brain stem(CNS)




A shotgun blast taking out a large chunk of the brain? Not a chance brah. The peripheral nervous system controls the mechanical & chemical functions of the heart, once disabled like that the heart would stop instantly

Thanks for the info. I haven't been at a hospital for a long time, so I forget where things are situated. Still don't believe guys that act like you belong working with patients of any kind.

I would guess this is a big factor. Plus no one reaching out to them. Men's mental health is an area that has been long neglected by men themselves who often see it as weakness or shameful in some way. So maybe they don't want to reach out for help because they feel this need to be strong and also are less likely to offer help to a man they know is struggling because they don't want to offend the other man or cause them to feel shamed.

It's a problem. Also one of the beneficial attributes of an anonymous forum where men can share emotional stuff without feeling judged or shamed.

Some of y'all have to trolling or need to seek professional help.

Some doctors are real assh*les. Probably a little bit self-protective. And little bit of a "god complex".

And I don't even care. If my options are a highly accomplished assh*le or a cautious conservative compassionate provider in an urgent full press "try or die" situation I will take the assh*le.

I don't need that person to beniceI need the to be great at what they do.

For GPs nice is good though. Sexist of me, but female GPs makes sense.
