America underperformed badly compared to expectations, but still slightly edged China to finish on top.

The biggest American chokes were IMO:

Men’s 100m: Trayvon Bromell not even making the final and letting an Italian take gold

Men’s 200m: Lyles **** the bed. Canada takes number 1 while America finishes 2nd, 3rd and 4th

Simone Biles: American media hyping her up as the goat pre games. The absolute disrespect to Nadia Comaneci. Came away with a Bronze when she was meant to win 5 gold.

Men’s baseball: one of America’s top 3 sports that takes a huge cut of the talent and money, and they can’t even beat Japan.

Lily King: was supposed to win multiple gold. Won **** all

Nyjah Huston: overwhelming favourite. Kept falling off his skateboard and finished 7th

Men’s 4x100m: just lol
