i keep thinking about UNIswap as the #1 player at this moment, but holy hell...
and then how basically america would basically be opting to drive defi innovation and all that greatness to foreign countries. fcking idiots

and thats the other thing. enforcement. what do some of these institutions do when a law is passed and the response is "hey thats impossible, blood from a stone"
i would think that that part of the law is ignored....i would hope.. :\

US brahs the bill going to vote tomorrow is pretty damn critical for the well being of cryptos here. The more I'm learning about its reach the more I'm scare. Mark Warner gotta go. It's one of those Patriot Act deals where when you look back on the amount of privacy lost it's rage inducing.

We need to be calling and emailing our representatives.

im hoping that the movement to make calls on twitter has gained a lot of traction.

i also sent a form from brian armstrong's post. once you complete it, it prefills an email and auto-fills the recipient field with your senator's name.
im going to call the senator's office in the morning. earlier i saw a thing circulating where they had a script circulating that they wanted people to use. going to try to find it to see what it sounds like

What has me concerned is the fervency with which the crypto community united in trying to fight this thing. Not like redditors, but the Kraken CEOs of the crypto world coming together with urgency in trying to galvanize support to oppose the Mark Warner amendment. If this was much ado about nothing then the reaction wouldn't be so fever pitched over basically just this crypto part of a huge legislation bill holding things up. This bill itself has large political implications and to have a back and forth over cryptocurrencies strikes me as extremely significant.

And even if ends up being not too big of a deal, it still sets a precedent of government intrusion into the crypto space.

I think I mentioned it earlier ITT but this reminds me of how the Patriot Act got passed. Nobody batted an eye when it was signed into law but it ended up being the largest government intrusion into the financial/banking system.

Give them an inch, they will take a mile.

Another thing that has me concerned is the sudden spike in price. Strikes me as whales fearing the worst, manipulating the market and dumping.

1. Market cycles. I hate being labelled a bear, because I'm 100% long-term bullish. But I don't see new ATHs this year.

2. No volume on this pump. Look up what a momentum ignition bot is and how to spot it. They're trying to trap retailers.

3. There's a lot of legitimate FUD right now. **** could hit the fan any day and unravel a lot of different aspects of the market.

Yeah the challenge here is similar to how alot of freedoms, privileges, protections that's go away. Where leaders sign a bunch of sht into law that they don't understand. They keep it high level, super vague, and then as they learn more later that vagueness gives them all the power in the world to advance their agenda how they see fit.

So it's one of those things where the law may go into effect next week. We all breathe a sigh of relief that nothing changed. Then a year later sht gets real when regulations change, we scream about it, but then realized that we already gave up our power a year earlier. The law is already in place and The lawmakers are just finally realizing how to take full advantage of it. At the end of the day many of them are a bunch of sleezy lawyers by training

Like you said we don't know how this will play out. What we do know is that the bill, as written is hazardous as hell. Everybody and their mother is a "broker" ..in the USA .

Also I could never be a lawmaker. I don't know how the sponsors of that amendment aren't in the chambers physically ransacking the place.

I compare it to my corporate days when we were working on how to advance our product. Debating strategy, and at times discussions got hot but we really were operating with all of the information. Intelligent debate.

I really disliked the corporate world but I give credit when comparing it to how they do business in politics. Fck that

I mean it fits the on-chain analytics of the supply being bought up and moved off exchanges. There just aren't as many sellers at these price levels.

I don't think you are unfortunately. I don't care how they ammend or alter the taxation on the clause. Regardless of how they word it, they have targeted crypto currencies as being one of theprimarytargets for funding this infrastructure bill. I'm personally expecting a fuking nasty dump next week.

Too much positive fundamentals and long term buyers for us to go to 15k imo. Countries adopting, companies adding BTC to balance sheet, athletes demanding payment in BTC, supply drying up, Mining infrastructure being build all over the globe. Can't see a ****ty tax bill collapsing this. People are just salty af they sold the bottom.

If dom > 60% then i would agree +50k is inevitable.

Crypto market cap points to this being a relief rally.
