Sleep better

Even when I’m on very little sleep (less than 5 hours), my energy levels are still high

Way less anxiety and depression, not constantly ****ing up my dopamine and serotonin etc

Better physique from not consuming thousands of liquid cals weekly

Overall clearer-headed and happier (ded fkn Srs)

Same here. It wrecks my mental health. Went 3 months off and it felt great. Had a couple claws this week but going right back to not drinking as well. Keep it up bruh.

You're not wrong. Our culture around alcohol is so fukked up.

So many of my personal probs growing up can easily be linked to the extreme disparity between over and underachievement here, rather than just being a healthy/balanced person. (disappearing middle class too)

Could be that, the amount of drug addicts you guys have is absurd too. This is why you can’t have nice things, don’t see Chinese kids popping ***** for fun whilst their parents OD on meth.

Wish I had considered scaling back my drinking earlier, in my 20s

I’m turning 34 this month. It was always so easy to look at all of my peers binge drinking and use it as an excuse to view my own ****ed up habits as normal (ded fkn Srs)

Bro tell me about it. I rarely drink. And last night I drank.

I got wasted off 4 Coronas . Hated it. Drinking sucks idk why people like it so much.

Felt like a retard. Felt dizzy. No thanks

Life is so much better sober

See that’s kinda my point about Americans. What I do is this thing called drink in moderation. Having some sangria and a few weihenstephaner’s at the weekend doesn’t make me want to eyeball a bottle of sambuca.

Yep…. It’s crazy man.

This girl I’m dating right now doesn’t really drink much, maybe two glasses of wine tops in a night.

She asked me the other day if I’ve ever blacked out. I almost laughed in her face (ded fkn Srs)

Pathetic

Don’t agree. Feel like many of the best nights of my life have been alcohol induced. Funniest times with friends. Lolsiest situations we’ve been in. Been laid most times because of it. Too many good times to count. Met wife on a night out randomly. Feel like ppl who haven’t spent some time of 18-25 partying are generally weird autists.

Drinking a lot when you’re older is cringe and cope though.

I’ve been spending a lot of time playing tennis during the week and weekends, and spending time with a chick that isn’t into drinking, which has helped a lot.

My ex-GF could basically drink as much as me, and we would sort of feed into each other’s bad habits (ded fkn Srs)

There wasn’t really a last straw, it was more like, one day I realized I hadn’t drank in 2 weeks, and even though I am not 100% sober, over the past few months (other than bachelor parties), I have limited myself to a 2 drink maximum, and have really noticed and enjoyed the benefits.
