Just sold 20% of my dip buys (btc + alts @ 29-32k level) @ BTC $45,000.

May settle around $39,500 or $37,500.

Will re-buy on the next signature crypto -25% crash.

If BTC keeps pumping , well i still have 80% of my dip accumulation to ride on.

Anyone running an ETH node/nodes? Are you using a service or running on your own from home? I was looking at some services and then came across running it from home using an NUC (around $1,200) or Avado ($2,400) and it peaked my interest. I'm fairly computer illiterate but I have found some step by step guides on how to do it with building your own NUC and I think I want to give it a try. Avado is nice because it is an NUC with installed programming to make it just a couple clicks. Any feedback on this would be appreciated if you have experience. Only reason I am going this route is because I don't really want to trust a staking service.
What are you on about mate?

BTC is just hitting 70 RSI on the daily then dumping. Maybe it keeps repeating this and going a bit higher everytime or we dump down a lot harder than last time

It looks like the bill will be passed without either of the crypto related amendments being included. It's an L but still not as bad as if the Mark Warner amendment had been included.

I have been running a Theta node since June. I ordered a computer just for staking on newegg for under $400. I ordered the computer only and just plug it into my bedroom TV and pull it up when I need to. Haven't looked at the specs for ETH nodes but don't think you need to go overboard, ETH is moving away from POW anyway. My first thought would be to use a staking pool if you don't have the 32 ETH to run a full node. But be careful and make sure the pool you choose is trustworthy.

Edit: certain soft wallets offer staking within their wallet interface but not sure of any off the top of my head that allow you to stake ETH. I like Exodus and know they offer some staking but doesn't look like ETH is an option, but I like this idea as well.

Once you do this though, aren't your funds locked in until 2.0 is rolled out in full? There's a lot of risk here. At least that's the impression I get from how exchanges are wording things. You can stake ETH on kraken but it states that you can't get the funds until ETH 2.0 is up and running. And they warn that it might not happen and that it's staking at your own risk.

yeah we picked up a few more allies in congress on this amendment stuff. and the kicker here is that we're only going to get more. crypto is a fcking snowball thats only getting bigger. i still remember cnbc (yes cnbc) telling warren buffet to get on board with crypto because going against it is like trying to move a mountain at this point.

so we are gaining allies in congress and the more we pickup the better. even if we dont succeed in this vote it's not the end because the mandate wouldnt take affect until 2023. and you can bet your ass that there would be a monumental fight up until that point. which goes back to the idea that we are picking up allies. and the idea that youre going to have more senators actually taking the time to study. i do know there are at least a few of them who were likely blindsided by this and who would actually catch up on wtf is going on when given the time (actually take a moment to learn the ramifications). we will get more allies. especially the younger ones and those who are in states that are aiming to mining locales

Listening to the press conf...Lummis specifically cites China as being way ahead of the innovation game and that legislation here shouldn't help that. I bet that was something that the crypto lobbyists stressed. Can't have China winning this.

I'm sure I could get an NUC that is slightly cheaper, but I'm not that concerned with the $1,200 as it should last a few years and easily make the money back. Also, those staking services are slightly different. Some of them allow you to earn interest on your ETH and have no lock up period(I'm not sure this has anything to do with the PoS that ETH is moving towards). Others have pools or you can lock up a full node on their service or in pools if you don't have the full 32 ETH, but they charge you a premium for their service and you have to trust them.

Yes, your ETH is locked until ETH 2.0 goes live (if ever). I believe it will and I believe that more and more ETH will be locked up as these steps are taken.

Edit: This is less of a concern with me as I'm interested in helping the network and participating in decentralization and ETH 2.0

yeah there are some long term ramifications here politically that some of them will have to mull over. crypto will continue to well and will be an absolute beast in the coming years. you dont want to be on the wrong side of it when it comes to the political track record. many of them will need to go back to their offices and think through that in the coming weeks. no matter the outcome of this amendment. eyes are opening, thats for damn sure

the sad part is that i see comments from no-coincells not realizing that this isnt about crypto's survival. that part is not in question. whatever, they'll figure it out.... after a couple of parabolic cycles..so fcking stupid

Yea I’m not buying this bull market ends on a certain date based off previous cycles thing. Nothing goes as planned.

What’s going to happen, everybody just gonna sell at the same time on a specific day? Yea not trusting that lol, probably gonna be a huge dump end of this month, September or October then explode when everybody thinks the bull run is over.

Gonna be an absolute chit show next couple months so I will be taking small profits out occasionally until then. Specially before September, September is always a chit month for crypto.
