I am getting toward the end of Halo 5. I need to finish it before Infinite comes out. The gameplay and graphics are solid, but the story is fairly meh.

Ahhh, I have nothing to base it off on, so the social aspect seems pretty cool at least on first glance .... people playing music at the cities, weirdass convos, some weebass chit ... Passed some high level dude who looked like he was wearing top end gear, was mirin hard. Community seems super friendly and chill, which I like. I'm completely new so people have been nice enough to guide me through the dungeons and chit and I joined a guild my friend is in lol. The grind is real though, been playing it non stop for hours since last weekend .... thanks to the fkkn lockdowns i have all the time to lay down and rot.

I WAS playing Gears 5, but uninstalled it as I was playing it too much and not moving onto other games. Plus I'm not really into MP deathmatch type gaming, I prefer single player.

I would just go for Gears 4 to break yourself back in. Ultimately it trumps Gears 5. It has a better and more focused story mode and IMO better MP. The gnasher is more reliable for one. The MP traffic will of course be much quieter than 5, but you can still play with/against bots.

Fired up Resident Evil 6.

I played through only one of the four campaigns around release and didn't like it much back then but holy chit it's so much worse than I remember. The obsession with quick time events was something.

Overall it's just a sloppy, unpolished mess.

One time I was in a subway and a train was coming and despite me standing 10 feet to the side it triggered an instant death animation that had me getting hit in front of the train. Next time I was even farther away, the train was half passed, and soon as I got within 10 feet it played the same animation that had me getting hit by the front of the train.

Another time I blew off the head of a zombie that was lunging towards me and I died from him biting me.

Almost at the point that I want to keep playing just for the "it's so bad it's good" value.This is why I'm basically done with MMO type games and maybe MP altogether. They've just perfected the formula to getting you hooked.

I got Gears 5 on dl right now and 4. I wonder how the first 2 campaign would hold up today or if not worth revisiting if I am playing a lot of new games which I do nightly as opposed to doing sloots. Cool huh?

Ok so I did pass the battletoads stage I have been stuck on.

Days gone is pretty long if you watch all cutscenes. I just now joined Col. Mathew Garrett lol. Only just now got on second half of game I think. Loving it but it’s just longer than I thought it would be (that’s what she said.. she = a lot of girls....since I was 15).

For some reason I never thought too much about the halo story cutscenes. Looks good visually but kind of bored me compared to say the god of war saga or tlou’s story. I played halo for the gameplay and graphics are gravy.

With RE6 I didn't like the way the game was broken into loads of smaller chapters with different people. I much prefer the earlier games where you played as the same character and amass a powerful arsenal and loads of ammo/health. I PREFER having a save box, but I didn't feel that RE5 and 6 were without them...especially given the 'shoot 'em up' feel of the games.

Been actually really enjoying ff14 on ps5. Got a paladin to lvl 46. Its been pretty fun tanking. Only ran into one douchebag so far that would run off and pull everything.

Randomly went to the closest city last night to check the market place and I noticed a huge crowd. Went over to check it out and there was a concert going on with players playing instruments and a bunch of people dancing. This game is something else.

Been busy with work lately so my gaming time have been reduced by a lot. Mostly after work, I get my therapeutic time fixing cars in the new Car Mechanic Simulator.

It's fun as hell to just listen to the news and commentary that I love in youtube while fixing and modifying cars. They also made it more realistic now with the addition of coolant, windshield, power steering, and brake fluids.
The shop can be much bigger now too and you can move outside of the garage and there's an outside environment.





It was released just 8 days ago, and they'll add more features. I'm waiting for the one where you can modify your shop's banner again like in the 2018 version

Never played WoW so wouldnt know ..... It is a bit weeby, but the storyline gets a lot more interesting and intriguing after A Realm Reborn. I mean I'm really digging it so far, I'm an exclusively single player gamer but this game has its hooks on me hard.

Do you need playstation online to play this?

The cool thing about it is that outside of dungeons and stuff, you can basically play the story as a regular solo final fantasy rpg if you want to.

Yeah the trial is excellent and a great way to get into the series. I played all the way up to level 30 with the free trial and enjoyed my time so much that I opted for the full version because it was on sale for PSN and I didnt regret it at all because I finally got to play as the badass Lion race lol, plus first timers get free 30 days on top of it so its not that bad. But you can absolutely play the trial version until you finish the base game and there's a ton of content in the base game to begin with.


The main thing you need to do is give it a chance lol ... I tried it the first time and I pretty much quit after 5 missions because I didnt get into it lmao .... Gave it a proper shot the second time around and got hooked. Just be warned though, the base game is an absolute slog to get through, the story takes a while to get interesting, the quests pretty typical mmo style fetch quests .... But as you start to unlock dungeons, start leveling up, specialise into your class it starts to get more fun and everyone tells you the game gets better with each expansion and I can confirm, I just started the first expansion and it's pretty damn neat so far. The dungeons and raids are fun as they introduce new mechanics and stuff, story and voice acting becomes much better. Also if you dont like the class you started out, you can change it on the fly ... I started out as an Archer, specialised into Bard which is my main but after I max out this character I'll probably give Warrior class a shot.

And the best part is, you pretty only need to do the main quests for your levelling ... Apparently in WoW you need to do the chitty sidequests as well in order to level up and progress, but in this game you get a ton of exp from doing the main quests and thats what everyone reccomends you to do.


If you do start, just hit up anyone in this thread and we can give you tips etc. Is there even an official FF thread on the misc? once the endwalker expansion drops apparently we can do cross servers or something .... would be lulzy having a big misc crew going into raids and getting wipes lmao.

Lmao yeah. came across a band playing Nothing Else Matters and since I'm a bard class too, decided to try lowkey troll them. Went in and crashed their little concert by playing my instrument and since i'm on controller and cant hold a tune in at all, I was just trying to match up to their sync by spamming the bongo drums, but they were super chill about it and everyone switched to the bongos and followed whatever the fuk it was I was trying to play lmao.

The Community is great which I love, everyone is chill, friendly, welcoming and not a bunch of toxic edgelords that takes video games too seriously.

The art style is crazy good. It's a very slow and mature game though so I get why a lot of people couldn't get into it.

Speaking of MMOs, I've been missing the MMO feel for some time now so I decided to try Bless Unleashed since it's free on Steam anyway. I think all the negative reviews actually helped me to enjoy the game a lot more since I came in with low expectations. Still can't say I recommend it since I've only played it for a few hours but it's looking good so far. The only negative thing I've seen so far is that the classes which are only 5 are also very limited to race, e.g. you can't be a berserker if you're human.

And about FFXIV, what happened to it? I thought it was a dead game and I even watched a video years ago if its shutdown and it seemed pretty cool since there was an event in the story that lead to a catastrophe which lead to the shutdown

SS from Bless Unleashed. Did my first mission with a bunch of random players, it's neat that you don't need to be in the party with them to get the mission reward, you just need to contribute in killing the monster. I'm planning on going solo for a while.

P.S. I dont know anything about the drama about Bless Online being shifted to Bless Unleashed or something like that, which I heard lead to the review bombing of Unleashed. I think that also helped me enjoy the game a lot more since I don't have any preconceived bias about the game.

As far as I know, the initial release of the game was received so badly that they went back to the drawing board and changed the entire engine and parts of the story, that ended up being A Realm Reborn which is the current base game, and then improved upon it even further with its subsequent expansions. Yeah, it's pretty much gotten a ton of hype and coverage this year because apparently that asmongold fella and even Cohhcarnage and other streamers got into it.



Cohh is entirely hooked as well.

If you buy the game +the latest expansion pack, you get access to all the previous expansions + 30 days sub .... After that you need to sub to it monthly in order to pay. If you dont want to pay, you can play the free trial, which is basically the base game all the upto level 60.

And yep, there are some microtransactions, but they are mostly cosmetics, nothing that affects gameplay or boosts gameplay.
