Living in a car or with friends don’t count.
What is it like? Is it scary? Are other homeless people helpful/friendly?
What did you do?
Don’t really care about why or how you became homeless. More like how was the experience afterwards and how did you get out of homelessness?

I’m doing fine just have always wondered what it may be like. Is it worry-less? Is it more stressful? Probably more stressful. Don’t wanna find out really lol

Slept in the subway for couple week stints about twice a year for five years, just take the longest route (use to be A, C, E), gives you about two solid hours of sleep before having to get on the line back. Sleep during the day so people think you’re just some overworked finance bro and can have your wits about you during the night, choose a corner seat so you can lean against the side, don’t even think about getting up during rush hours.
Or some nights just go into crowded bars, snatch drinks when people aren’t looking and get chit faced so you don’t care about passing out in the couches or beds people leave on the side of the street.
0.99c slices of pizza for sustenance, alternatively you can get a falafel at Mamoun’s for a few dollars if you’re feeling vegetable deprived
Gym membership for showers, battery recharging. External battery is essential so you can recharge your phone multiple times without sitting in a business
Again, bars to meet one night stands. Snatch drinks when people aren’t looking as usual, play it cool, grab a 4/10 and camp out at her place for a few days for food and showers. Rotated through a list of those on the nights it got super cold, code blue where they go out and grab visibly homeless off the streets to prevent death

Would sleep in hotel stairwells
Wait for someone to exit and go in
Would get caught every so often
I found a few rooftops I could climb up with ease. Would sleep up there usually unbothered
Once an employee found me and called the cops.
Would ask tradies leaving hotels for work if I could shower in the room and I would leave immediately.
Or often I would find rooms that had been left open and stay in them for the remanding time.
I had a room that was under construction replacing the stove or some thing
I would pop the entire window out and sleep in there make the bed every morning.
There was a professional center that had a second floor 50% of the time they would leave elevator u locked. So I would go to second floor and it had a nice iverhang with plugs
There was a apartment complex with a nice pool area. They had outdoor showers and a bathroom I could open with a screwdriver I would go in at night take a shower and lock myself in bathroom sleep in there. Or sometimes the gym was open too.
Most of the time people let me chill in their hotel rooms because I knew everyone who sold or I had drugs to sell.
Some nights wer brutal my backpack would get stolen and I would be in a T shirt dead of winter. I would just sit under a light somewhere that blocked the wind from me and not sleep.
Went to jail and decided I was done forever have t touched drugs since
