Did anyone permanently lose sense of smell from COVID?

I’m pretty sure I caught it for real last week as my sense of smell is completely shot.

Symptoms began last Tuesday, peaked Friday, now today I am 98% recovered but smell is still fubared. Overall, felt like a mild flu with a pretty bad sore throat.

Anyone still can’t smell their farts anymore? How long did it take to recover the smells?

Won’t be able to sniff hard as fuarrrrk when hbbs pass me in the gym

Not sure if I got it, but after I ate chicken salt chips, my mouth gums and tongue all had numb sensation and then feels like that weird burnt tongue feeling now. Still there 2 weeks since.

when i had the vid last year, I also had a sore throat. weird i dont see that ever mentioned much.

i didnt notice any impact to taste or smell at the time.

I did months later have this weird chemical smell that seemed like it was within my nose. it would last a day and only every few weeks. IDK what that was thought maybe it was from the vid but it doesnt happen anymore.

Was just seeing a bunch of people commenting on smell recovery videos on how it’s been months or almost even a year and their sht is still gone…..is it panicel trolls or just weak immune systems that got completely rekt?????

This chit was exactly what I reasoned it would be - the only difference is the smell hasn’t been knocked out in the same way it has been when previously sick….this is the only thing that came out of left field as normally I do not get sick period…and if I do I recover within 24 hours.
