Fighting/escalating a fight with a stranger?
(Asking, because I'm genuinely not prepared/level headed with this sort of thing as I'm a somewhat new adult)
Never been in a situation since school, but asking for future reference.
So, what would you do if you're out on your own, and some guy starts starting/swearing at you? Tv has taught me to swear back, shove them, then bash them to pieces. However, that's unrealistic as I'd probably get put in prison and have a bashed face/be hospitalised.
My thought process at the moment. If I'm walking down a street/anywhere: (Question marks because I'm unsure) (For ALL of these, their size matters)
Scenario 1: If a guy swears at me, swear back, provoke a fight, bash them.
Scenario 2: If a group of guys swear at me, walk off. I'm not acting hero and getting destroyed?
Scenario 3: If a huge guy starts problems, walk off? Not willing to fight a fight I'll obviously lose.
Scenario 4: If a teenager swears or starts on me, walk off? Being an adult, I can't fight them or I'll go to prison? This one's awkward, as a past young teen, I know there'd be follow up problems lol.
Scenario 5: If a female swears at me, walk off?
Scenario 6: If a drunk guy comes at me, I have no idea. Walk off/ignore?
Any ideas/advice with awkward fighting kinds of people?
Thanks.
EDIT: For those saying that some scenarios may never happen, and that I might just be an unruly character. If you're out and about a lot of the time, it's inevitable to encounter a dodgy person.

No matter the opponent I'd recommend never get in a fight unless you know the incident is recorded and you can prove you were in danger and needed to defend yourself to neutralize the threat. Unless of course you like the possibility of going to jail. A good lawyer to get you out of assault or attempted murder charges ain't cheap with or without varrying levels of supporting evidence. As pissed off and wronged as you may feel at the time it ain't worth it. I know from experience dude.

99.9% of the time, in every scenario you just listed would never happen unless you were instigating some chit
nobody just randomly swears and starts chit with people. if they do, they are clearly just crazy and you should walk away

That being said, I don't have much concern about this happening because 1.) I'm a big guy, and not many people are going to actively start a fight with someone my size and 2.) I carry a firearm. If I did find myself in this kind of situation I would only engage/draw my weapon if I felt either my life or the life of someone else was in jeopardy. Otherwise I will try to deescalate the situation first.

It's called verbal jiu jitsu, try to deescalate the situation with a joke or something. Most of the time it's taught to mixed martial artist because they were knocking people out and people were hitting their heads on the ground n dying, boom manslaughter charge. It's not worth it dude, save fighting when all other options have been exhausted.

I'm just thinking about when I go shopping on my own and some clown tries mugging with a weapon or something. The news has messed with my head a bit.

That's exactly what I'm worried about. As, in school, it really wasn't a big deal to fight, as the repercussions were barely anything. In the "real world", fighting is the most riskiest thing to do, but it happens everywhere.

4yr of training in muay thai and I carry so de-escalation is always the primary MO. Has to be a really bad situation to get into a fight otherwise I could get in a lot of trouble; probably in way more trouble than most rando losers who would start fights with strangers.
