Check out my ghetto vertical leg press misc
What you think misc ? No homo on angle.
A bit of butt wink but man it feels amazing on the quads and can push it to failure or close to unlike barbell squats
Not much weight on axle but definitely felt some weight on there.
I also do ghetto belt squats
That minimisation on dat dere axial load will allow for better recovery and push to dat dere 3x bw squat / 500lbs hopefully

Don't think there will be an accident
- axle bar (thicker to push against)
- grippy shoes
- pushing against uprights
Can get lots if reps / volume in
Back squats / front squats = upper back / core failing before quads ever would

The amount of load on a verticle leg press is usually substantially more than this, i mean when I had weak quads I was doing 5pps so i just dont see the load requirements needed to give actual growth stimulation a safe option. Does it mechanically sound like it will work ? sure, but theres a good enough chance even if its only 5% of the bar slipping back, and if the bar does slip back theres a 100% chance you gonna get fukked.

That is how they did it back in the day, like early 20th century. You’d be better off getting a landmine attachment and doing some front squats.

Whatever it takes brah
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I am most likely being very naieve but I truly believe this will be bettrr than front squats for me. Although I haven"t loaded it "heavy" I just don't see how it could slip with what ive trialed so far
In saying that, I have a lot to think about and consider due to your reply bro so thamks
