Misc bootlickers explain this about CEO pay [srs]

Founders of companies have a lot of skin in the game and take on great risks.

Standard employees don't.

But most CEOs of big companies are not the founders. And their salary is guaranteed just like any employee's.

Not sure how someone can justify that someone who is being paid 10m USD per year is worth exactly that many times more than an employee of with a 100K per year salary. Not through any realistic mechanism that is not corporate kindergarten.

Germany has some laws where it elects employees as unpaid board directors who can boycott a stupidly high payment package of some asshat.

Is this possible in the bootlicking USA?
communist until you get rich
rightwing until financially secure
atheist until the plane starts falling
slootist until you get married
muslim after you get married

Cool bait but just an example, being awarded 40 million in compensation as a Microsoft CEO is only 0.1% of the entire company's net income, and the job itself is difficult to say the least.

Even worse when you realize that executive pay is often tied to financial performance as a way of incentivizing cost control by cutting the unnecessary people making $100k

You have CEO 1
They bring in an additional 150 million to the company
Paid 20million

You have CEO 2
They bring in an additional 20 million to the company
Paid 3x lowest paid employee of 50k. $150k

What company did better?
The best costs money
Is this about feelings or profit? Two different ways to go about it.

This CEO generally are already employed or successful
You need to pull them from other companies with comp packages

If they are unnecessary isn't that the fault of the people getting fired and not the corporation. Keeping someone on your payroll because they've been around a long time yet their role is superfluous, is illogical.

I think their is a problem in larger corporations is they have started looking at candidates because of their "fame" instead of their track record of turning companies around. Yahoo went from one of the biggest corporations in the world to losing all relevance because of poor business decisions and hiring unqualified personnel for top positions.

C level executives sit on or have sat on the boards of other companies. They all vote for each other to make tons of money. Everyone in the club looks out for each other.

Since you feel so strongly about this OP. Why don't you just become a CEO and donate the bulk of your salary to lower paid employees? Or maybe you should just create a multi billion dollar corporation then retire and pay a CEO a normal salary of 100K.

Lead by example OP. Become a CEO and donate your salary or create a business and pay your CEO a fairer wage.
