It's My Birthday Misc
I turned 37 today. I don't feel old. My body still does what I want it to do when I want it to do it, and looks the same as it did 10 years ago. Definitely take care of yourself if you are in your 20s. Your health is not something that can ever be replaced. Socially I do find myself in this middle ground where young people think I am old and old people think I am young and no one really pays attention to a late 30s brah. lol
I am immensely blessed. This is my first bday with my son (and first child), who was born December of last year. I have a beautiful wife that I am in love with and a great family. Honestly I couldn't ask for anything but I got a pair of 60lb and 70lb dumbells for my bday anyway. Pretty sweet imo.
Some thoughts I'd like to share with you all without turning this into some debate/argument.
Life truly is precious. God made you for a reason. When you're in a valley and trying to navigate this life, remember that somebody somewhere loves you. You have value. The gifts you were given are not for you. They are for the people in your life and the way to get the most out of them is to share them.
There might be 7 or 8 billion of us, but that doesn't diminish your value. It actually increases it. We don't have the time and energy to know and spend time with everyone. We only get a few decades and a handful of people to really live and experience. This makes the people in your life important. It's like music. You don't have enough time in this life to listen to every song ever written, so cherish the ones that you can hear.
These are the days of our lives. There will never be any other like them, and this is our chapter in history. We're not promised today nor tomorrow. Lift your head up, stay strong, and be grateful. It isn't easy, and it's not always enjoyable, but you're here and you've be blessed with a capable mind and body. The Devil is real, and some of the thoughts that cross your mind are temptations. Not everything we think and imagine comes from us so remain vigilant.
I just wanted to share some thoughts with you all. Reps til I'm out. Stay blessed.

The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.
